  1. The weather couldn't have been better. The sand was a bit choppy. There was a pretty good size crowd out there, but nothing too crazy. We camped out with RhinoKing, mfdesigns, and chuckharrisjr and we had some good times. Friday night consisted of a late night run to the South pole. On the way back I sailed the Grizzly about 4 feet off the top of a little dune! :ahhhhh: We had some really good laughs around the fire while I served up some G&T's. Saturday we got some really good rides in....some fast as hell...some nice and medium paced. We saw Mike156 & Captainkirk out at the north pole and bs'd for a lil bit. The 2PM DDR ride on Saturday was pretty cool. There was a good turnout of peeps fom the site. South Pole... We lost about half the group midway in the ride, but that is kinda expected with that long a train of cars and bikes. It was like 3 dunes back! We had a couple pit stops along the way. The first one was in the big bowl. We were all circling around the bowl and some dude in a buggy hops up over one of the sides going into the bowl and drives right down into the train of buggies. He sideswipes JoeDuner's buddy's (I forget his name) car. It was an accident, but the guy who hit him could have avoided it. I was right behind him when it happened. The dude just drove right into him. There was a little side panel and paint damage, but nothing too serious. It was good that nobody got hurt though. We proceeded with the ride and found FlyinRyan's old car (TTRex) sitting in the middle of the dunes. Shawn (the new owner of the car- Ryan's buddy) was hanging out waiting for Ryan to come back with a battery. The alternator went out. We hung out for a little while and Susan in the Leopard V8Rail car showed up. Between TTrex, Danny car, and Susan's car it looked like a V8Rail regatta! That was the most V8Rail's I have seen in one spot! Later that night Rhino King ordered the UFC fight and we played it on the big screen (projector). It was a good fight and was really cool to be able to watch sitting around a fire at Dumont with a drink in my hand. It doesn't get much better than that! Oh and to add to the awesomeness (<-- ), fireworks in the background above where we were watching the fight. It made for a great birthday celebration for Kenny & Mike. Once again...Happy Birthday guys! This AM I went out for a little morning ride on the Grizzly. pics of a memorial atop the hill that overlook teh dunes... Although it was a short weekend for me, it was tons of fun. I got to meet some great people and say hi to many other dune friends as well as share some good laughs and get some awesome rides in. I wish I had my car out there this weekend, but it definitely didn't stop me from having a good time. some random pics... turbo Hayabusa Bombardier watching Rhino King fly and crash his plane "PaulyPaul, take the Grizz and go get it!" sanddunesaddict taping it back up, haha The rest of my pics are in the gallery, click here Some of my obervations for the weekend... -new word of the weekned..."awesomeness" -Grizzly's can fly! -My toyhauler generator can support TWO pizza cookers! LOL -RhinoKing got his a$$ kicked by Bozo -random people walk up and hang out in your camp when you have PayPerView UFC fights on -random people sit in JoeDuner's daughter's chair, break it, and don't say anything about it -the south pole is now the official meet up spot for DDR rides- that worked out great! -Steveo doesn't fit in Dman's back seat -we taught Dman's neice to call him drunkle instead of uncle. lol -getting stuck is a New Year's tradiation for me evidently (note: don't park your hauler ON the finger dune! lol) -THE BOMB's quad gave new meaning to "Bomb" this weekend :shoot: -Fear & Loathing in LV is still hilarious when drunk -SOBE's at comp are fun -chuckharrisjr's motor is due for some attention (knock in motor) -mfdesign's doesn't like me bringing up old sh*t...like running out of gas and getting a dead battery -kris didn't get hurt this weekend! lol phew...that took a while
  2. Doesn't sound like you have it off then now does it?
  3. The exhaust I upgraded to was the Banks Cat Back system. It is a full 5" setup with a high flow muffler. It didn't add too much noise at all. It just gives it a slight bit of tone- not alot of racket though to rack your brain . Gas trucks tend to be louder when you add an exhaust system more than diesels.
  4. :angry2: Are you gonna buy one like Rhino King's? :no_no:
  5. Most new diesels are 4" stock too. My DMax was. And it's not a matter of needing to modify it. I pulled my 34 ft toyhauler with my D Max no problem at all stock. I never NEEDED to modify it, but adding an exhaust helped for towing. More is always better. I have yet to meet a guy to this day that said they didn't want more power regardlesss if thay had a Ford, Chevy, or Dodge.
  6. Yeah really! Tell me about it! You never saw that pic from the Christmas Party thread? As far as the neighbors, they are pretty cool. They haven't said chit...yet. It's starting to go away slowly but surely.
  7. http://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/i...c=2675&st=0 Busted ANOTHER spindle and the results were pretty bad this time. I have additional pics, but don't feel like posting them. They should how bad it really is compared to the ones in that thread.
  8. yes..do exhaust first, then programmer if you decide to after. Exhaust will help cool your exhaust temps which in turn makes more power . If you program it first you will raise your EGT's real quick with stock exhaust.
  9. Yeah I know. Trust me...it's gonna suck without the car for a while. If you have a bike though you shuold try and meet up for the ride at 2PM / South Pole on Saturday. Regardless, I'll try and swing by to at least say hi though. I'd like you hear about these "plans" and how they're comin along
  10. THAT'S where I have seen that before. I just never knew wtf it said because it's pretty hard to read in the avatar.
  11. Yeah it's not too hard to find. Just go to comp, then go to the left and around the back and just stay to your left and follow the dge of the sand to the finger dune that leads out to the south pole.
  12. Jon, if you'll be in the same spot as you usually are I'll try and stop by and say hi! :fro:
  13. 1. Get my rail back together one way or another 2. Spend just as much time as this last year (or more) with friends :fro: 3. Get some home imrovements done that I have been trying to get done 4. Try and get even more invovled with FoDD & the fight to keep Dumont open 5. Get a new quad (2nd Raptor) 6. Take a real vacation I'll have to check this thread a year from now and see which ones I have acomplished!
  14. Same to you, Ash...have a happy new year! :fro: We'll have to hook up sometime in January for some dune riding.
  15. Well Friday is kinda considered a half night since we won't get started till about 9 ish. We're gettin there about 9 on Friday and leaving Sun AM. ...and yes- WAAAASTED! :fro:
  16. What all will you be hauling? Sometimes those garages are pretty limited for room to grow if you ever plan on getting more toys. http://keyperformance-raptor.com/?page=floorplans#
  17. go to Dumont Have fun and be safe, Tyler
  18. You don't need one, but they do help. It depends on the type of programmer you get, but regardless you'll want to install an EGT (Exhaust Temp Gas) gauge and an exhaust system. With any programmer and towing, you'll want to moniter your temps because more fuel=more heat. What size toyhauler are you getting? ...regradless your Dodge should be able to tow it just fine unless you like to tow going 80 mph like some people I know. :fro: Note: numerous off topic posts set to insivible due to thread hijack.

    Hey ISBB

we have this one... otherwise I always liked this one...
  20. Yeah I should put that sign in my street for you fools lighting the letters "DDR" on fire my street!!! :fro: That guy on the sign almost looks like you or Dnchevyman lighting the lighter!
  21. It looks like these winds should be gone by tomororow (at least in Shoshone)... Friday: Mainly sunny. High 59F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph. Fri night: A mostly clear sky. Low 31F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph. Saturday: Abundant sunshine. Highs in the low 60s and lows in the low 30s. Sunday: Times of sun and clouds. Highs in the low 60s and lows in the mid 30s. Monday: A few clouds. Highs in the low 60s and lows in the mid 30s. ...as of 12:57 Thurs I can't wait. There should be some good drunken times this weekend.
  22. Actually the stock exhaust on a DMax is 4". I put the banks cat-back exhaust on my truck and there was little noise increase. I like mine. You might get a little more noise without the cat if you plan on taking it out.
