    I just went that way and clocked it. Its paved first then 4.5 miles of dirt,quality of road is like dumont ,although Dumont was pretty smooth Banshee Wars weekend!! Then the rest is paved all the way to the dunes. There were no soft spots in the center of the road 2 weeks ago.But sometimes there are.

    70' in nevada and 65' in cali. If the trailer is over 10k then you need an endorsement.The bus doesnt require anything because its recreational. And supposibly whatever you are towing is ok too because its a rec vehicle.

    Yeah I got this as an e-mail about a year ago. If I remember right there was 4 people in the car and the guy on the bike. They all died and the e-mail said they cleaned the car up to put on display for education.

    Yeah you have to use washers and flip the nut over. Or if it has the nut has a shoulder so you cant tighten it on the other end you need to get new nuts. Studs are only a couple of bucks a piece. www.servicehonda.com are the cheapest.

    Busting my a$$ for who knows how long on whatever needs to get done to get to the dunes(any dunes).....and the first step out of the truck onto sand I knew it was worth every headache,penny and all the anguish to get there!!!! The simple thing is stepping out of the truck!

    I remember this stupid a$$ law. My sister and I and all my cousins for that matter had to take the stupid test.It was gay. I remember taking it then "graduating" and they give you a little sticker to put on your helmet. After I graduated I was wheeling past rangers all weekend just to piss them off. I think I was 11 or 12 when they started this program.

    LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant believe that. Although it has been going up there along time and has given alot of fides to rangers,camp hosts and other people that has taken care of the dunes over the years.

    some are a wet system just depends on the bike. not sure if a lt 230 is that way or not. I remember those though......they were a cool little bike.

    Ive heard it at Dumont but its not very loud. St. Anthony is a good place to hear it. I remember stories from my dad and uncle about Kelso that they are very loud. The best way to make it do it so you can hear it is on a quiet night or morning on a bike or in a buggy, roll down a hill and get some speed and lock up the rear brakes and slide.Make sure the eninge is off.You'll hear it if its just right.
