  1. Want to buy the Red Super strap, but googling it doesn't seem to bring much up. Looking for the Genuine, Red Super Strap tow strap, 2" X 25 ft. (or is it 20 ft?) Thanks

  3. So you are trying to sell your biz and just going to focus on engines? IMHO, the person running the biz is the biz. Always had good dealing with all the Dumont Vendors. Glamis vendors,, well,, that can be a crap shoot.
  4. Son is a big fan of the game. Says it's improved over past, but they've certainly left room for the next version.
  5. Outstanding pix. First SEMA I went to it was decades ago & just guys selling car lifts, spray booths/paint and frame straightening machines. I was told by the Glasurit rep: "We'll never seen candy colors or pearls again" because I've always loved them. Was that "expert" ever wrong.
  6. That's a fantastic price. The '08's were a big improvement over earlier models. More power, the cool clutch system, improved suspension and lot's of other good things. We've had several of them,, gliders are a perfect paddle tire for them. RM ATV sells them on the rim delivered cheap. Usually no shipping or sales tax. Drain the carb, and turn off the gas when not in use or you'll wish ya did.
  7. Several factors: We've camped there for years. The worst thing was moving Vendors row to it's present spot. Bad, bad idea. It murdered camping for many and has pushed folks further out and created much more traffic in that area. The nice thing prior to the Vendors row move was that you camped outta the dust belt, so the BLM simply moved the dust belt over. Seems when the Category 1 and 2 winds hit from the NorthWest, campers there may get hit by more rocks and gravel along that area. All depends on the direction of the winds and intensity. Also, more rocks on the ground that may tear up your tires. Thieves are very active there, lock everything up, and complicate your stuff to make it even harder to rip off if they do get through your security measures. I love hearing from people that they never heard of any thefts there. Happens all the time.
  8. When I went in the Marines, they sent me to Heavy Equipment mechanics (earth movers) and diesel engine school. When I came back from Viet Nam, I was made a bartender at the Officer Club at Kaneohe Marine Corps air station, and a lifeguard at the officers family beach. I still did my daily Marine Corps duties muscle fuc#ing Bulldozers everyday too,, I just had to rise earlier, and stay up later. I got to meet a lot of famous Americans while bar tending at the Officers club. Old Man Jimmy Doolittle and (most of) his 30 seconds over Tokyo raiders, James Stewart, many of the Flying Tiger survivors,, the Buddahheads that fought the SS in Europe, and many others. The news media was all over it back then. They would occasionally hold their conventions/reunions at the Air Stations outstanding officers club. Our country doesn't seem to have this kinda stuff anymore, nor seem to remember it much.
  9. I understand she is suspended indefinitely.
  10. I've been through 4 recessions. This one is turning into a depression. For the first time in my life, friends can't find work at all. Never saw that before here in the Southwest. Never. And it doesn't look like things will change for them in the foreseeable future either. When it hits bottom, that doesn't mean it'll start getting better. Our local GM dealer is offering reduced labor cost service, and after market, non-GM parts for the first time I can remember. We recently took advantage of it and saved a ton of $$ and got some real quality work done on the wifes beloved Regal. Instead of buying a cool Ford F450, we simply will keep our GMC another 100,000 miles like the owners manual says it's designed to run. I believe it. It's been a great truck. We never take the family out to dinner anymore. Kids didn't like eating out anyway. The exception are a few friends restaurants with off-the-hook good food like Roc's firehouse in Palm Springs. We got bids for new carpeting & tile for the house,, forget companies doing it,, we know guys who moonlight flooring for half the cost. We'll run with them. I'm at the river right now, and the bar here at the resort has 16oz draft Bugweiser/Miller Light/Diet Coors for $1.50. The bar filled up to capacity at happy hour when the price dropped to $1.00. That never happened in the past. The kitchen use to have 3 cooks, now 1 part time because everyone eats back at camp. Full campground, but people are spending less, and taking more advantage of all the activities here. Neighbor fed his kids spam and eggs. He buys those big "County relief" packs at the grocery store. Change is in the air. We took delivery of a new 5th wheel yesterday. We got it for $22K less than is was selling for just 2 years ago. About half price. Wouldnt have bought it otherwise. One other couple was taking delivery on a New Prevost MoHo at the same time we were. Their Sales tax alone was more than our entire rig cost OTD. Some out there still have money to burn.
  11. We give out the full sized candy bars. That is an open invitation for the kids to eat and run leaving the wrapper behind. Yeah,, a big mess, but most the kids appreciate it. Neighbors run a haunted house. That draws crowds of kids all over the block and they leave nests of trash everywhere too. We just go out and clean it up, thankful they didn't damage anything.
  12. The ONLY rumor I heard was your are selling the Dog House business and want to just work on engines. I'd hate to see that. You're one of the very good vendors/online business out there.
  13. Abandon Shopping carts and gang graffiti is starting to appear in our neighborhood. The two always seem to run together and nothing runs a neighborhood down faster.
  14. Good roads = Bad People Bad roads = Good People
  15. Their is a special Polaris fluid for the front Diff. A special AGL oil for the gearbox and transfer case,, and then you can simply run Mobil one in the engine. I use Polaris 0w synthetic oil in the engine for now. Another good forum: http://www.rzrforums.net/forums.php
  16. Ya see just about every kind of off road contraption out there: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
  17. I have 2 12' ramps that fold to 6' and store in the bed. I went this way with a cheapie travel trailer when I was a single dad living from paycheck to paychek. Worked excellent for 11 years. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- BTW:

    DMV!

$1000 one year registration. One platform point Arnold was elected on was to stop this nonsense. Politicians never do what they say they will.
  19. Daughters are way cool. Our walls are dripping with testosterone from all our boys,, we'll adopt an (older) girl next go-round.
  20. We've checked them out and the new Snow Leopard system is excellent with pro tools we are told. Read that: We are told.
  21. Good chance we'll be there. The Slash X is very much still in business and the poker run is on. In fact, they are open right now.
