  1. so lets see now. i think you probably have about 20 grand in the bike now right? ha ha. glad its running great. we are going to check out sand hollow monday. my silly daughter and the meathead are living there in st. george so we figured we would kill 2 birds with 1 stone and go there so we can have some fun and they can see their kid. [ we have custody of delilah ]. :D

  2. i almost made it. the grandkid was hopped up on rootbeer from hangin out at the neighbors and didnt fall asleep till after ten. by then i had already had my share of beer and decided it would be smart to just stay home and go to bed. i was in the mood though but it would have made for a rough friday at work. :beercheers:

  3. good deal nick. yeah, i glanced that way but there was a sign stating authorized personnel beyond this point or something.

i'll be there again in november, and no sooner! i know this because i purchased the truck brand new in 2002, it's a work truck mind you, i beat it to death, and it still doesn't ever break. so much for purchasing the extended warranty.

ya but your ex. warranty has a refund clause if you dont use doesnt it? mine did when i bought my 01 silverado. i got my money back :D

  4. I am thinking more about the off weekend anymore. We are also going to plan more Amargossa trips......we only made one day trip there last year.

im hip to that gerald. i really enjoy the peace and quiet out there. but mostly i like riding in the desert and then across the dunes. best of both worlds. anytime you wanna go check with me and we will see if we can make it. :D

  5. I used to always take the other way thru pahrump before I met DDR. The road is definately alot smoother. I think I started going the other way cause it was a bit shorter. Im always anxious to get there. I also like to dump my tanks in tecopa, at the designated dump station. But I do believe there is also one in Pahrump I could use, just have to find it. Used to fill up water in pahrump when I used to go that way. Alot lighter load going over potasi, which ALWAYS kills my truck. But I for one, would not mind going thru pahrump on a regular basis if its going to mean less peeps giving us a hard time about dumont and less of a fight. :watching:

saddle west has a dump station. right on the 160. i think it only cost 5 bucks if i remember right. :D

  6. wow. i thought i was the only one that listened to rome. when i lived in houston he used to do 4 hours in the morning/afternoon and then it replayed at night. been a clone for about 12 years now a think. went to see him one time at the horse track there in houston. packed house and a million beer cans everywhere. aside from the sillyness he is spot on in most cases. :D that merkur story is classic.

  7. You can just put a regular or ratchet type strap about mid way down the ramp and hook it to your hitch. That way you don't spit the ramp out. :ahhhhh: It's always worked good for me. :D

yup. thats what i do. although i did the ramp kickout thing myself years ago all hungover one day and a half a$$ ramp tie off. i remember very well sitting on a quad looking straight at the sky before busting my a$$. :blury:

  8. I hear that Dave, but it's for my 2.5 year old daughter and the Disney website.............is that OK???

    :ahhhhh:

yup. thats ok. im in a sh*tty mood because i was looking forward to no kids to worry about and now thanks to my daughter and meathead son inlaw we are going to have to raise our 2.5 year old grandaugher. poor kid is stuck in child haven hating life while the system gets things sorted out for us to take custody. this whole situation really sucks. i am hating life right now. :blury:

  9. That's exactly opposite of what the 650 was good for. I hate those "kids bikes" (450's). They are too small for me. The size and weight of the DS was a bonus! You of all people should like a bike like that Dave. For us taller and bigger riders, that was a great, comfortable bike that soaked up the rough with ease. It's weight and size is what set it apart from the rest in a good way. When Bert brought his new DS over, I sat on it and was like - oh hell yeah, this is comfy! :beercheers:

ya. me too. i rode it but with my boots on the shifter and rear brake were all out of wack from the the banshee. just a matter of getting used to. but then again i was coming off riding that kfx. what a differance. :D
