  1. i didnt say i wanted one. just sayin that it can compete with the other 450's out there. they did say that for taller riders that it needed some extra height on the steering stem. i wouldnt call it a kids bike though. although it is designed for puny guys that wont get thier legs tangled up doing crusty videos i think can am decided that with the badass utility quad they have that maybe they didnt need the ds anymore. i personally would love a ds 650 for the desert.
  2. ya i get it. a whole lot off make up sex with porn. way cool. go tear it up man!
  3. but check out the new can am 450. its looks and sounds like a badass bike only weighs 348 dry. its in the new dirt wheels. from what they see and have tested it looks like a contender to the rest of the 450's.
  4. you cant tell a thing by just feeling the heat coming off a bike. if your over flow tank doesnt blow off and it runs good dont worry about it. if you want to get serious put a temp gauge on it. run some evans coolant. it has a very high boiling point. but that can mask an overheating problem if you have one. all in all if everything is working properly i dont think overheating should be an issue.
  5. jesus christ! is this the lifetime channel? if you have no kids beat feet on outa there! godamn!
  6. that stuff they already put down is hard as a rock. you cant blade that. all they can do now is roll it and hope for the best.
  7. you are so right. i thought about that dumb post after i left the house. dont drink and post people.
  8. lost my a$$! i would be styling. all i would need is a trip to sheris ranch a couple times a month. i would have all the cool toys. need women. what a bunch of bunk!
  9. sounds like on a good hot day they need to get a steam roller out there to make a day of it running over that road.
  10. a little rich on the pilot for the outside temp? gee you sound smart. jesus christ! put your a$$ in it and kick it!
  11. dig em up and lets go racing
  12. this may seam lame to alot of the younger crowd but back in the day slot cars were alot of fun for some of us. i bought my boy even though he is 18 one for his birthday and after going to slot car city and racing it i bought one too. its cheap fun for kids and adults. open everyday from 5 till midnight. they have actual competition racing every friday. even have a slot car drag strip. check it out. its pretty cool. http://www.slotcarcity.com/
  13. i read in the paper that all the reserved seats are sold out. i checked unlv tickets online and it looks like you can buy online and print the ticket too.
  14. all the domestics have fallen behind the 8 ball. gm lost a ton of money last year. they are all in scramble mode now. the big three will all be foreign owned before long. hell, all our parts are made everywhere except the us as it is. i pulled a tailight out of an older pickup that said made in the usa and the new one in a gm box said made in china. put a new headlight in a cavalier and it was made in taiwan. what a bunch of crap. but they should have seen the writing on the wall a long time ago. you can still see old toyotas and datsuns on the road but how many vegas and chevettes do you see? ha ha. those damn cars were lucky to go 60000 miles before they went to the scrap yard.
  15. i am there for sure both nights this year. i was all stoked last year and went friday but early saturday morning i got a call from my dad that my mom had a heartattack and stroke. had to haul a$$ to cali but she didnt make it. well, thats all behind me and im ready for some action this year.
  16. yup. i hooked cracker up. i give him and his wife and little brother inlaw major props for really helping out. actually they did most of the work i think. it was cool seeing him pulling the buggys off in the distance. was hauling a$$. the guy was really stoked when he got back. funny thing all the breakdowns were after us between us and pit c. no hang ups in blm's revenge. got back in at 3.30 am and had to wait for my boy who was with his friend at a checkpoint. they ran out of gas on the way back and i got home finally at 5 am, slept a little and went back out to help clean up at the infield. all in all a great time. nice pics cracker. i finally got a new digital camcorder and didnt even think to bring it.
  17. we didnt set up seats. just a large area behind a long rope. just pull in and park. bring some chairs. if you want to help on the course i am working a checkpoint at the farthest spot from start finish just as they come out of blm's revenge. if you have a 4x4 and wouldnt mind pulling stuck cars out of the rocks you are more than welcome. every year there is problems there. we had to stop the race there for a while to clear the course a couple years ago. the more help the better because it can get chaotic. we have to keep track of numbers and also its a stop check. we have a stop go light that we use. 8 hour time limit so it could be a long night and early morning.
  18. the race starts at 7 pm saturday night the 30th so the first hour or so will be in daylite. there is a spectator area set up near the start finish area in the infield. its just past the ultra light airport there on the west side of the 95 before the dry lake bed across from boulder city. over 100 cars and trucks are entered. should be fun.
  19. never used one of those. always had guages or a charging station and its always added to the low side
  20. well there you go. you dont add to the high pressure side. the low side is the suction side for adding freon. the purpose for sucking the system down is to draw the moisture out of the system and create a vacuum for recharging. when the system is drawn down on a vacuum the moisture in it boils and is drawn out out. a key for proper a/c operation. here moisture is not that big of a deal say like houston where i used to live where if the system was open for even just a half hour enough moisture could get in and saturate the dryer. you want to suck the system down and then add a full charge of freon. as far as oil i dont think you lost anymore than would be put back in with a recharge. freon has oil in it. as far as not hearing about adding more refigerant read my previous post. good luck
  21. its become clear you are better off letting a pro you know you can trust charge your a/c. it really is simple if you know what you are doing and have the equipment to do it. pay to have it done right so you dont mess up your system.
  22. it will when you add the freon unless you have other issues going on. i assumed it was working fine till you opened the system. forgot to ask though did you pull a vacuum on the system before adding freon?
  23. i would open all the windows, run the engine about 1500 rpm with the a/c on high and add refrigerant till the compressor stops cycling for a minute or so and make sure the air coming out of the vents is nice and cool and you should be good. wouldnt hurt to get some gauges on there to double check the pressures.
