a few years ago we went to dumont for pres. day weekend i think and out of the blue my yamaha warrior would not start after unloading it. had run fine up until that. well i hate electrical and just guessed that maybe the cdi went out. bought one off ebay, put it on and it fired right up. went to ride that weekend and same thing. no spark. took the cdi box i bought and the original one to the yamaha store because they had a used warrior out on the lot and asked if they could plug them in to it to see if they worked. maybe they did, maybe they didnt but he said they were both junk. so i spent the big bucks and bought the whole new stator assembly, the only way to get the pulser coil and a new cdi box and everything was fine for a few years. then it started the same crap again. would run fine then just die and not start. then it would start later and run fine for a while. tried a new coil, same thing. then it wouldnt start at all. a very weak spark. tried an aftermarket cdi box and no luck. then found an aftermarket pulser coil for 40 bucks on ebay which you can splice into the system. bingo. if you have ignition problems on your quad or bike this could be the problem. certainly worth trying before forking out for cdi boxes or stator assemblies. i always learn the hard way it seems.

ya things will change when the hormones kick in later. my daughtwer was great too when she was 2 just like my 2 year old grandaughter is now. there is no formula for kids. you do the best you can but its a crap shoot. anything can happen. and believe me you can drive yourself nuts trying to figure them out or wondering where you could have screwed up. thank god for budweiser and good friends like all the ddr peeps.

damn ken! i was ready for the party when you first wanted to have it but i am going to be in caliente to mark the race course for the dusty times 250 that weekend. gonna miss a good time im sure. :angry22:

if you look the first three trucks have rear fenders and a full front end like a regular truck. the truggie is fender less. and it may be hard to see but the nose of the truggie sorta comes to a point. if you saw these in person toy would see the differance pretty easy. http://www.digital1unlimited.tv/primm300/d....php?driverid=1. check out this video of the herbst truck and truggie

my daughter and her meathead husband and the grandkid went to utah for the weekend . peace and quiet. did a little side job for a kid from work at the house yesterday then watched basketball playoffs. watched the nascar race in the evening then went to the half shell for karioki night. even won a couple of free drinks for answering a trivia question. it was what was steve mcgarrets real name from hawaii five o. it was jack lord and then i realized i really am getting old to know that one. thats a fun place to hang out on a saturday plus real close to home. today just being lazy. more b ball playoffs, baseball, champ car grand prix from houston and even some golf.

whatever you guys need to know about the yfz, give aaron/sand yfz a holler.

i want to go down to chula vista and watch some of that racing. from what i have seen on tv it looks like a alot of fun. how many races will you be involved in this season?

ha ha. was wondering about you. havent seen a post in a while but expected one with the race coming up. we missed out on the hospitality last year. our mistake. im going but its going to be a day trip since i have to go to a banquet that night for work but we will hook up this time.

ya that is pretty impressive for a young kid but i think it is incredibly irresponsible on the dads part.

we have only run into a ranger a couple of times during the race. they just tell you to stay near the dunes. but that was a couple of years ago. i dont remember seeing any last year.

april 28th is the terrible town 250 offroad race starting in pahrump and going way out past the amargosa dunes and back. we have been going the last few years, camping at the dunes and then riding aroung the trails and watching the race from various spots. its great fun being able to ride the dunes and trails at the same time. i have never bothered to put the paddles on because with good desert tires you can go through the dunes pretty good. maybe this year i will bring them and put them on for a while. last year i think it was livinalolife, sincity blondie, pauly paul, kens colors and some more i cant remember. we had a great time. the weather was perfect and it looks like it may be good again if it continues like it is.

oh hell. im gonna be 46 next month and i still stay up with pauly paul, pete and some of the other young guns pretty well on my banshee. it doesn't hurt that bad the next day unless i get stupid and wreck.

it should be great. i have been going to homestead every year for the past few years and after they banked that track the racing was great. big differance. i expect the same here.

its even worse when your kid is into that crap. my silly daughter has put us through hell on that sh*t. so if anyone in camp was obviously tweakin in my mind i would just want to beat the livin crap out of them but been there done that and jail is not cool. i would have to leave. so stay away you godamn tweakers!

ya it sure would. its going to be real crowded that weekend. my buddy is coming in from florida and we already have a room booked at the plaza for the whole weekend. its a pretty quick trip from there to the speedway.
