A fram filter is orange and will match my buggy but I wouldn't even poop on a fram filter...

Those colors would look good. Im trying to think of a theme for mine right now, going to have it fully wrapped. Funny you say that... I just picked up a spare Mendi. I will have a trans on deck at all times so I will not have down time! I got a great price on it. Can not stop the wheelies LOL I have been doing a ton of Mendi research lately and those 30-40 yard wheelies aren't much stress on them. 80-100 yard wheelie might be pushing it. We weren't dropping the clutch either and that makes a big difference. I found a sweet pump set up im going to install on mine, it pumps fluid from the back into the nose cone when running big hills or wheelies. Doesn't cost much and will save the main shaft bearing and gears. People don't realize it but hauling a$$ up Comp is just as bad or worse then a 40 yard wheelie IMO

Damn Chad! What color you going with?? Yea when the season starts the best trips are when we just go last minute for a day. Personally I don't care for big packed busy weekend holidays but you gotta do it a couple times. I would like to put together a Glamis trip this year too. Plus we will have the Buggy Round Up again.

Its not even sand rail season yet. We are doing the early morning runs for fun. Plan on the weekend before Halloween and Halloween weekend to be the first big dune trips.

We can all choose what day is best for them.. Sept 27th Saturday Sept 28th Sunday Post up what day works best, keep in mind we will be back by noon sometime and leave the gas station on Blue Diamond & Charleston at 4am

Anyone down for another early morning dune trip? Last trip was amazing weather and the dunes were track free. Late Sept or Early oct sound good? I don't think I can wait till Halloween to hit the dunes again.

Today I raised the front of my car a few feet off the ground and drained the trans fluid out. I let it drain for a couple hours and ran a quart of 212 through it to help get the old fluid out. After pouring a gallon of fresh fluid in the trans I looked into the Swepco 212 jug and it had a ton of Moly still in the bottom of the jug. I poured a little oil back in the jug and shook it all around then dumped it into the trans. I did this a few times and the Moly just kept on coming out. For anyone who uses Swepco 212 I recommend dumping half a gallon in the trans then shaking the rest up real good to get the Moly out.

I think I'll change the oil every 3-4 trips but change my oil filter every trip.

I like to always hear what oil people use and why. Lets hear it! What oil? Weight? What engine? Why do you choose the oil you run? How often do you change it in your rail? What filter do you use? I have run Schaeffers engine oil in all my vehicles for years and I am running the 5/50 Schaeffers racing oil in my rail. I run it because the base in Schaeffers is the best I have seen, it has moly and anti friction additives, the break down point is at very very high temps. I have done a lot of research on oils and have been to several oil demonstrations that compare oils head to head on different machines to see what oils break down with heat and which ones survive.
