Well crap. I picked up two gallons of Swepco 212 today. Butches had it for $80 a gallon. The Moly is for better protection on the gears and main bearing I believe. Not so much the shifting.

When is the best time to buy product? Sales? Used parts?

Lets get this started Mendeola recommends 80w 140 gear oil but I see some guys running other weights and brands. What do you guys run? Why do you run the fluid you do and how often do you change it? If trans needs work oh well. It will be fixed in no time if it does. Ill have it yanked out in a few hours and in the shop. I beat the crap out of my car all weekend again and no issues. Its a sand car, I don't drive miss daisy around. Oh and I just ordered a trans pump to pump the fluid from the back to the front for wheelies and long hills

Yea I got a old school bb helmet from a antique store and had it pin striped and painted up. Might add a bit of protection but mostly for looks and fits around my goggles perfect. Muffles the engine sound a little too which makes it nice.

Not to worried about it. If it blows up it will go get fixed just like anything else. I always lived by the phrase "got to pay to play" Might sound funny but I been thinking of picking up a used spare 2D so when/if it goes I can toss another one in.

I had such a killer time! Shake down run did it's purpose and I found the couple things that needed replaced. Trans axle seals fixed, installed new ones. Limit straps installed today. Leaving for Flagstaff Cinders Thursday around 10am.
