no wonder it didn't run :dope:

Over T-day weekend the 70 decided to crap out on me. :(

It fired up but only made it half way around camp before it quit. Poor Gino and Grimace couldn't ride it either. :( :angry2:

I kinda thought it was from the gas tank rust getting down into the carb and sure enough.....

I got the carb all cleaned out and soaked the tank in Muriatic acid and it now looks as good as new. Just gotta put it all back together now. Gonna need another 12 pack to do that.:bs::blury:

Damn...lot of work for such a little azz bike! :bs:

That was how my oem tank and carb looked on my trx70 too..I put a plastic gas tank on it.Those metal gas tanks can get real crappy inside especially when they sit with gas in the tank and carb for years before people sell them, lol.

Got it all back together and no leaks......EXCEPT for the god damn petcock now. It's leaking from the actual valve out the front! WTF! :dope::blah: No biggie though. I ordered 2 of em off ebay (brand new for 6 bucks a piece) I love these things! I wish sandcars were this cheap to fix!

leaky petcock....

(I laugh every time I say that word :DDRrocks: "hu hu...hey Beavis......" :blah: )

Here's a couple more things I did so far to hook it up :blah:

new seat cover and new rod ends. Mine were fuggin SLOPPY and made all kinds of noise when you'd hit bumps. :blah:

I scored a brand new aftermarket set off ebay for 45 bucks! Not bad either considering new OEM ones through Bike Bandit or wherever would run $45 a piece (x4)! :blah:

Got the new seat cover installed and degreased the motor...
