sand chick Posted March 7, 2011 Share Posted March 7, 2011 Managed to squeeze in another off weekend trip! Had to do a shake down on the returned Rooster Rail. Weather was perfect, a bit breezy this morning, but had turned nice by the time we left. There were quite a few camps out there for it being an off weekend. Got two decent rides in, before it hurt too much to ride still soon I will be back into 3rd and 4th gear runs I hope! Sand was great. Road going in was great. Bathrooms were horrible and no paper Gorgeous sunsets, good food and great friends made the trip perfect! I only got in a couple pics, since I spent my time in camp. Just Mike Posted March 7, 2011 Share Posted March 7, 2011 (edited) It was a nice trip for sure. It was the most crowded off weekend I have seen in a long time. Got some good virgin runs in on Friday though. Got lots of quad time in on Sat. As we were heading back in to camp Sat evening we went be comp and I noticed a little crowd up by the witches eye. Went up to check it out and it had claimed another car. It was a nice Minni rail. I think every one was ok so I went along my way. Friends wanted to test out two cr500 bikes. 20 min into the first ride and one of them went head first over the bars. All ok but he is going to be sore all week. Blew the top end on my rm 250 but had the quad to ride. Had a blast chasing two dirt bikes on a quad all day. Need to do more off weekends it was pleasant all day. Thinking two weeks and do it again. KuntryKolt Posted March 8, 2011 Share Posted March 8, 2011 Thanks mike, it was my wifes first dune trip ever so i took her out one my my grandpas rail not know the alternator wasnt working and carbs not synced up but we rode quads the rest of the trip after i taught her what a clutch was haha.
