  1. Ok, so I was a little harsh and for that I apologise, It takes alot for you to come on here and explain yourself. It seems after all the harrassing we get we'll use any ammo we can to justify our frustration with the LEO's and this was it. I'm sorry it had to be you, from what I've read you seem like one of the good one's. The flag issue, it's cut and dry but the racing, yea, you guys deserve to have fun I'll admit but there is a time and a place for everything and trust me I would love to put butt whoopin on a cop(racing ) , but maybe this was not the time or place. I'm deleteing the "poor excuse" comment because obviously you are not. The "novice" comment stays, 60lbs of equiptment or not.
  2. Of all the guys running Jess's axles I haven't heard of vibration problems. Maybe he'll chime in on this one.
  3. Nutrisystem's in the mail, I figure if I start tommorrow I can go from a 38 to a 34 by that date.
  4. I guess after dealing with the rangers at Glamis I have a bad attitude towards them, one of the main reasons I enjoy Dumont so much more, the rangers are alot more lienient. If they would just treat us with a little more respect, it seems like they almost talk down to us like we are little kids. I use to go out of my way if I would see them at the hill watching to strike up conversation but all I would get is attitude. I have no problem if I am doing something wrong I should get a ticket, but treat me a person not a criminal. Yes I agree they deal with alot of bad people but that's thier job and they are trained to deal with it.
  5. Yeah, and Jess can probaly build em to fit type 4 drive flanges.
  6. Or if they hurt somebody, while having a " little fun". They shouldn't have been on two wheelers anyways, you could tell they were novice riders.
  7. You bring up alot of good points. But..... , for one, they choose to work those long shifts and get paid alot to do it (overtime). Sure they can have fun but do it on thier dime not mine. If that was any of us out thier without whips it would have been a ticket. Thier suppose to be out thier "protecting us not drag racing or doing wheelies up a hill. To watch these two make fools of themselves was very un-proffessional . I've been "picked on" so many times from the rangers on B.S. calls , heck, on the way in to dumont one cop stopped me to tell me to turn off the fog lights on my truck because they were hurting his eyes. they all put a bad taste in my mouth, granted there are a few good one's but the bad one's take thier power waaaay too far. As far as wasting my employers money, I at least try not to get caught.
  8. It was funny , after the one ate it my buddy rode up to him to and hit him up about there flags, they told him to settle down .
  9. We were sitting at the hill on Sunday watching these LEO's. They decided to race each other, while pulling a wheely the one on the KX ate it bad at the top of the hill, he ended up walking the bike all the way back down the hill . The one on the Yamaha raced two guys on quads and got smoked . It gets better, can anyone figure out what's missing?
  10. Very nice! Enjoy and be safe.
  11. Those are from the 1st or 2nd Sand Obsession video's.
  12. Can't go wrong with the WW. plus you'll get better resale value then most. Just saw Sean tonight, looking at the 32FSW. Stick with your 75% rule, one I my friends jack-knifed her fs2300 behind her Sequioa on the 127 about 5 miles for Dumont turnoff. Too much weight.
  13. I found out about this site from ISBB posting on GD.com
  14. Those Funco's are not my taste, but damn they sure do turn on a dime.
  15. Not a waste, look at the possibilities.
  16. If I had that kind of cash I still wouldn't build somthing that gawdy, I'd just put a albins in my car and be happy, maybe some bypasses in the rear also. Some people just love the BLING factor, but is the car really capable and can they really drive the car to the limits? I know I'm rambing but it's after superbowl and I've had ALOT to drink..... So what I'm trying to say is who cares what it costs as long as we're having fun thats all that matters.
  17. You gotta look past the X-3 and look at the Elite page 2 (250k one), he just finished that one this year, a little gawdy for my taste but without all the bling it would be a nice car.
  18. You gotta look through the whole post but this guys says 250k. http://www.glamisdunes.com/invision/index....amp;hl=buckshot
  19. Some great advice above. I started like you(40k budget ended up spending more). It was my first rail but I had a few years experience (about 10) duning my quad. Like you said, if you have a good head on your shoulders, know yours and your cars limits and don't let your adreniline get the best of you, then you should be okay. As far as the car, it might not be possible with a 50k budget, but if you plan on using a v8 to get that much hp don't settle for anything less then an S4, better yet a Fortin or Albins. 2D's can't handle the torque of a V8.
  20. Hey Dave, I just realised our avatars are at the same jump.
  21. You forgot C.V''s, clutches, pressure plates, pilot bearings, :ahhhhh: .................
