  1. Good story. We went out last nite to beat the crowd. Rolled out the S2000 and hit Lawrys. Fun evening, no crowds.
  2. Do you two celibrate Valentines Day/:
  3. All our aluminum got a bit of salt tarnish at Pismo. Anything out there that'll brighten it back up, even just a bit? Thanks.
  4. If you or your family is prone to carsickness,, then a quad.
  5. LED tailites. The litebulb sockets on most bulb type fixtures are thin cheap junk. Can make for a crummy connection, loose connection, or no connection. So,, I have been replacing tailites with LED fixtures and it's the best improvement money I've spent. Wife hauling across the desert and her tail lites are flickering, going out,, ect all because of a crummy light fixture. So changing to LED has really got one less hassle off our list. And, they are only a few bux more.
  6. I thought ya had to run the "Gauntlet" barefoot to be a DDR camp member.
  7. We're taking a lap around America this summer and the Oregon Dunes is on our list.
  8. A film crew came into my work once. We thought Geeze,, no one likes sci fi any more. We felt kinda bad for them - kinda of a rinky dink set up, the lighting and sound guys and electricians doubled as bad guys in costume ect,, But the costumes were neat looking. 1 year later the movie was released: Star Wars. --------------- --------------------- ------------------------- Film crews are traditionally cavalier and pushy on the set. Sounds like they were acting the unexcuseable norm again at Dumont.
  9. We does one get a cool wagon like that?
  10. E and F load range tires if you can, and check the pressure before each trip. We sometimes replace the rim too after a catastropic failure.
  11. If the Dunefreaks go,, we're in, if it's not too hot.
  12. Their is no excuse in the world to get hit by a train. None. Anyone have that Glamis video where the girls high centered Jeep get creamed by the train?
  13. Anyone get their taxes done? We just did ours. Getting married last year cost us $1800 more in income taxes. Those %%##$&@* Republicians! Oh,, wait a minute,, I'm a Republican,,,, eeerrrr,, aaaa,,,,, Oh well, gotta blame someone for the sickies.
  14. MSNBC's Ashley Alexander Perfect. http://imusblog.com/ashley-alexander-reads-viewer-mail/
  15. Get rid of that stock filter. You will wish you did. Yamaha weak point. Only takes a little sand to grenade the motor. The K&N kit is easy & fun to install, and not all that much money. Alba, Rocky mountain a few other places sell them.
  16. Chance of it here. Everyone that goes loves it.
  17. Do you re-jet the Yamaha for Coral Pink?
  18. FEB., March, April,, about 90 more days. We're about at the halfway mark for the season. The DDR forum is on fire still, should keep that momentum thru summer. Been at least 2 months since Dunefreak wanted to choak me for a post,,,, What's everyone on the DDR board do during the summer?
  19. Stop by our camp and you can have runner-up Silver Bullet and a tri tip sandwitch.
  20. Finally Kawasaki is getting back into performance. Their first 450 thumper was a mess, so a re-designed 450 is over the horizion and on it's way to dealers. Already avail in a two wheeler. Does or has Kawai ever offered any FACTORY performance items? Zuki has the Yoshi/Zuki line of gizmos, Yamaha GYT stuff, Honda their "Power up" items. But Kawasaki seems to have nothing that is factory backed. Or am I missing something?
  21. I rode Big Gunz Raptor SE and the wide was remarkable. I'm 5'10" and weigh about 230 and it was excellent. I couldn't imagine improving it at all. He claims he hasn't touched the shox, so that was bone stock. Aftermarket shock don't even start getting good until ya flirt with $2K, so it's a BFD if they come on the quad already. ----------------------------- We spent last weekend on Pismo, really rutted dunes, and it was a reminder that a day on ruff dunes is a long, un-fun day. I'll take a good riding, fun handling quad over a hill shooter any day. My only gripe with the 700 is it should develop more power. Don't know if it's the V twin config of the KFX 700, but the power on the KFX 700 is an eye opener as to what a 700 can really produce. The drawback to it's auto trans is it constantly wants to up-shift,, so as a competitor, ya have to figure out how to deal with that.
  22. Reads like you guy are getting good wear outta them.
