  1. There are many safety issues in the dunes everyone should know of and follow. There are the obvious things like protective gear, a whip, etc; but many things go unnoticed. Crowdog has some really good tips on his dune safety page...check them out. Click here. Good job, Jon.
  2. holy crap! I just made a list of the DDR peeps that will be there. 4. Thanks Mr. Expert Hitch Guy. If it's the way to go, why don't you have one? I installed mine tonight and it's pretty nice. Although now I have to buy a lower drop hitch. Damn, it just never stops!!!! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  5. Yeah...it's monday. Most people don't know when it is because they don't have it off...like me.
  6. Either way, I still laughed my a$$ off when you said "Like Joe would say "Thaaaats poopd*ck""
  7. I don't understand what you are trying to say here, Steve.
  8. First off, the tongue weight of those trailers isn't rated at 1400 lbs. Where did you see that? I read just under 1000 lbs in my brochure. Either way, 1400 lbs or not- you don't need bars that meet or exceed the trailer's tongue weight. The bars ratings are for the amount of lift you get off the tongue. You still want tongue weight, otherwise it would tow like crap. I gaurantee your bars are probably only rated for 1000 lbs, which is the rating on most round bar setups. Oh and don't worry about the money at all, I needed a hitch anyways.
  9. I call bullsh*t....Photoshop. Still funny though.
  10. Wow, you guys are a world of knowledge! If you don't know....then why post? Well, I just got back from Camping World. I bought the trunnion style 1200 lb bar hitch and it seems really nice. It almost seems easier to use that the round bars. I'll see how it works tonight. I have some work cut out for me now.
  11. I'm not worried about sway. It only sways when your freakin Samurai is in the back!
  12. That's kinda what I was thinking. I just wasn't sure if they were a super pain in the a$$ or not.
  13. It was worn out when I got it. Besides the cast head wears out quickly...just like Steveo's not-so-old one too. The old ones that didn't wear out so quickly were steel, not cast. But I hear ta about the tricks...I don't go so fast over the big stuff anymore.
  14. I am looking to get a new hitch because mine is worn out. (I have the round bar setup) The holes where the bars plug in are all worn out and one of the bars is ground down half way through (thanks to lvnalolife j/k). I want to buy a more heavy-duty one than the one I currently have...or at least one that will last. What is the difference between the trunnion style hitches and the round bar type hitches? I know what they both look like, but have never used a trunion style one. Are there any pros or cons to this style WD hitch? I don't want to buy another p.o.s. hitch where the head is gonna wear the hell out in no time. Any help is appreciated. BTW...this is the one I'm looking at....click
  15. Yeah I think I walked up to the wrong one coming back from the hill that night. I was like...wtf...this isn't my truck! Freakin white chevy trucks everywhere!!
  16. ISBB said something just freaked out yesterday with the "MySQL". Don't ask me wtf that means though. We have two of our best guys on it right now....or sometime soon. Cole, post the pics back up if you can.
  17. no actually I never even looked at em! Was in too much of a hurry to eat! Those are just the directions for the way we do it every time.
  18. You should be okay. Just keep and eye on them after the first run or two and make sure they aren't scoogin. No...scoogin isn't a real word, but you get the point.
  19. when all else fails??? like what? common drunken sense? step one: Put pizza on rotating oven step two: turn knob step three: get more wasted watching the food go around in circles step four: pick off any topping or anything else that can be eaten before the 12-15 mnutes are up step five: scream "WOO HOO" when you hear the bell go :::DING!!!! and start scarfin down some grub! :::
  20. Well I suppose, but I beleive it depends on the kind of grease you used. Was it the black/grey normal CV grease you used? or the more high temp/ extreme pressure stuff? I still don't think you're supposed to FILL the boot though. You might get some grease that oozes out if it's full-full.
