  1. Weather could not have been better and the Commander 1000 X SxS checked out great on its maiden run this weekend. Good to hooked up again with Pete and Adam on the Small Dune run as well. Dogs rode pretty well for first time duners..lol So decided to at the last minute to follow what I thought was Pete and another Weekend Warrior that had Funco on the back door home going via Tecopa... Never been that way so all was good until I lost site of Pete...and the Warrior in front of me turned into the Tecopa RV resort assuming to dump tanks....so somehow ended up in Pharump..holy crap. Miss a turnoff somewhere - anyways just added a little time to the drive. Next time I think I'll keep going straight through Tecopa and not turning left....great times looking forward to the next run.SP2Mike
  2. That was the biggest decision break for us about 2 seated vs 4 was although we spend time in the sand the tight trails like up at Piaute or Duck Creek and even Marysville in Utah the restriction on most of the trails is 50" width. The 2 seat depending on RZR or Can-am is 54" and just squeaks through whereas the 4 seat ver are mostly 60" or more and we've seen a lot of them turned back for access not to mention both the Forest Service and BLM are now popping tickets for oversized. The last thing is 147" vs. 118" in length. Again although on the bigger trails its not a big challenge it is big time on the smaller tight trails where the switch backs are really tight....so for the powerside we went with the Can-Am 1000 X. SP2 Mike
  3. I agree with the 900 being restricted on trails..
  4. We were headed out tonight but decided to get a start in the AM. Should be there by 10am. See you all there. Adam thanks for the help with the new flag and mounts for the Commander... SP2 Mike
  5. Does anyone go to this poker run? Friends told me that its like a mini Parker off-road run but not a race but a lot of fun. They said its at or behind the Slash X Bar. I heard the next run is here in April last weekend. Sp2 Mike
  6. I had 126k miles on mine. The new parts and all the services were $2.6k cheaper than any of the other major Diesel garages. To do what I had the cab had to be removed as well. Ill post again once we get to the Big D next weekend to See how it pulls the 38ft Warrior and how the mileage goes. SP2 Mike
  7. So being a new SxS owner do we have to wear helmets at Dumont? I don't have a backseat yet but will have soon. SP2 Mike
  8. Drove my truck about 4 weeks ago into Underground after hooking up with Newly about issues with my F350 6.0 all pissed that once again the truck stranded me. After 30 minutes of explaining Mike told me they'd get Scott to run diagnostics and let me know. Two days later we put together a list of all the issues that FORD never owned since day one. I told Mike that if they could not fix the truck I was selling it. Mike said they had seen my same issues before and guaranteed a fix. 3 weeks later I get my truck back and holy $hit. This truck has never ran this well at anytime even when it was new. Here's the list of things done -Bullet Proof EGR Cooler -Bullet Proof Oil Cooler -ARP Studds -Heads rebuilt and milled -Turbo rebuild -4"Down Pipe and new 4"Exhaust system -Blue Spring Fuel pump upgrade -Bullet Proof Water Pump -Fan Clutch Kit -New Injector -Complete Flush of Cooling System -EGR Valve -Serpent Belt -Trans Service -Dummy Plugs -Degas Bottle -Lower Boost tube -Edge Insight Monitor/EGT Probe -SCT 3015 Tuner I just wanted to say that Underground did what they said could be corrected and they stood by their estimate that I was given the first time. Thanks SP2 Mike
  9. My truck is actually in the shop at Underground for a complete overhaul and Mike and the gang will take care of it for sure. SP2 Mike
  10. Thanks Pete were planning on being there for Feb 7/8/9th for the trial run. Look forward to seeing the old crew and meeting up with everyone. SP2 Mike
  11. Yeah we actually had the RZR ready to pick up and the dealer started adding charges, so yeah I need to change the sigiture
  12. Well - After 10 years of quads - decided to make the jump to a SXS. Looked at RZR, Artic Cat, Kawasaki and Can-Am. Being 6'4" 300 plus, most of my fight was just getting and out of the damn car... So after looking and trying to climb in/out i was most comfortable in the Can-Am Commander 1000 X. Plus the second biggest issue was price. From your basic RZR 1000 XP to the 4 seat - and all the rest - prices from $14K to $25K depending on what you wanted also had an impact on the choice. So at the end of the day with Fox shocks, lots of travel and lots of room and $14K OTD, the Commander 1000 X was the one we put on the trailer..... Looking to hitting Dumont in the next few weeks to get this thing in the sand..... Thx SP2 Mike
  13. Just wanted to post that I have my two Can-Am Quads (Farm Gear ) up for sale. These bikes are in excellent shape, have less then 50 hours on either one of them and only ridden by us old people on "SUNDAYS" at Dumont and sometimes at Pink Coral. Anyway, looking to sale them as a pair so we can pick up a new Side by Side. As an incentive, I'm giving a $500. discount if both are purchased at the same time. Everything on these bikes work, nothings broken, and I have both "PINK SLIPS" in hand, so no waiting for payments to clear..... Asking $10,500 for the pair or $6000 for the 800 and $4500 for the 650. Like i mentioned, if purchased together i will pull $500 off the 800. I'm firm on the price, but I will deliver for the price of gas if within reason. Thanks Again, SP2 Mike 951-453-5482 Cell PIC's can be seen on Craigs List http://lasvegas.crai...2990217593.html
  14. Joe - If your in Nevada, the attorney that I have used for several matters in real estate is Shawn Christopher Legal Services, 2625 N Green Valley Parkway #110 Henderson, NV. 702-737-3125. He's both an Attorney and a Broker so his office handles it all from front to back. You will always talk to him, and once your hooked up, he handles all of it. I along with several other friends have tried doing this ourselves and after 7 months of fighting the banks, I decided to hand it over to someone who does this for a living and could protect me. Best $$ spent. All of my friends have gone to him as well, and everyone has been extremely happy with his work. SP2 Mike
  15. Hey Mike Do you still have this 90 available. Ive got a friend who's looking for his son. Thanks SP2 Mike
  16. Thanks Jakster appreciate the heads up. SP2 Mike
  17. Just trying to get a feel for this weekend out there. Even with the possibility of "wet ski's" how packed is this weekend as compare to like Thanksgiving? Just wondering if the sand will be too busy to bring the G/kids to ride on the dunes - Little Dumont just does not get it, so were just wondering how crowded it will get. Thanks SP2 Mike
  18. We'll be there Thursday evening til Monday - two weekends in Feb at Dumont - U just got to like that....... SP2 Mike
  19. Thanks for the info - all six it is..... SP2 Mike
  20. So, getting the hauler ready for the upcoming SuperBowl / 70 Regatta and as Im backing into the driveway, the wife yells and points at the left rear tire on the tag axle. SO i get out and wow.....the tread split exposing the steel about 2 inches wide for about 10 inches along the tire. There tires have like less than 5K on them, and the hauler is kept enclosed, so no sun..... So I go and look at the others and damn, the right tag axle tire is worse. The lead axle and center axle tires (same brand) dont show any issues that I can see. So getting on the Greenball Website for Warranty, the tire is only warranted for 2 years - period. NICE, I bought the hauler new (Weekend Warrior 2008) so the tires are like 60 days past 2 years......Customer service is open on Monday, for Greenball, so I'll be calling but its likely that they'll tell me to get bent. So now I need at least 2 ST235/80 R16 Load E Index 124 before this coming Thursday, as were planning to head our late Thursday evening to the "D". If anyone know of a good replacement tire, let me know. The big o here in Boulder City said $113 each for Omni Commadors, never heard of them..... SP2 Mike
  21. Ian, Sorry to hear that your leaving town - hope your travels are good and the new place works well for you. Take Care, SP2 Mike
  22. Totally agree - I think the BLM staff have done an excellent job and as mentioned, the rangers have always treated my group with total respect and even when i've seen people who deserve tickets - i've seen more breaks and warnings than actual tickets. I know several of the rangers dune out there as well, and I'm glad to have them. SP2 Mike
  23. Pete - I could not agree more - its been a year, lets see......lost a job, which caused us to give up a house, but got a better job, found a better house. Had both back and shoulder surgery, but now the health is on the way up....I've got my family, same wife for 37years as of December 7th, and as long as I can take a breath and continue to take it day to day, it's hard to ask for more. Happy New Year and Hell Yeah, Bring it on 2011..... SP2 Mike :peeps:
