  1. I have the Android and use both, PDA.net as well as the root method. You can download an app called ZROOT and the phone basically acts like a wi-fi. It's a wireless tether. Easiest? PDA.net. Just download the free app and connect your charger/USB cord from your phone to your laptop. Downside? you can not use PDA.net to access secured sites unless you pay their fee. Good luck!
  2. Two people in our camp made the trip over to the rig first thing Wednesday morning for a shower. Both said the showers were clean/hot and worth the money. The only problem was the attendent. Apparently he was a bit on the older side and became offended that the two brought their own soap, shampoo and towles. He went as far as shaking a tip can that he had on the table as a little hint-hint as they left. Both commented how the guy looked nuthing like the chick in the advertisements. Maybe they should bring in the chicks and sacrafice one of the showers stalls for a little rub and tug massage room? The shower truck alone isn't going to last at Dumont!
  3. I would recommend searching craigslist day and night. If something is priced right it goes quick and the add is gone. I will keep an eye out as well. Best of luck!

  5. Ya, I wondered the same thing. Gotta be a dirty girl!
  6. Actually a pretty good thread! Topic 1 10-12 year olds cruising a rail……… bad decision on the owners (parents) end. Take the kid out to the wide open flats where no one is a round and let him have a little fun. I don’t care how much experience YOUR child has, he’s still 10-12 years old and shouldn’t be making last second decisions with a 600 HP rail at his finger tips and feet where innocent people are around to suffer the consequences. Topic 2 Mexicans………..Wetbacks…………Wetblacks ……….Drunks………Americans………..whatever the case may be. There is only one reason to fly a non American flag here in the great US of A. “Disrespect” !!! Why else would you be sporting a flag in a country where you work, live and have equal opportunity to succeed? These folks are flat out idiots and are looking for nothing more than a reaction. Topic 3 Trash, usually, the same idiots that “disrespect” others are responsible for leaving trash behind. Granted, there are a few newbies that show up that do not understanding the pack it in, pack it out theory. That’s where common sense usually kicks in but, then again we are dealing with some folks that come from an area of the world (several) where throwing your trash on the ground is common! I’m sure that I’ve missed a few topics but that’s my opinion.
  7. Just a few pics from the weekend The Ride Home
  8. You always think that it is going to be someone from another camp that gets airlifted out of that place. Id bet each and every one of the injured in this video were thanking god for the BLM and the Sheriff's Department too. I could not even imagine having to use my cell phone to call for help out of Baker if it came to injuries or even some other time of distress. I do believe that there is large area of improvement needed though when it come to responding to the needy and, GPS has to become a part of the response teams equipment. Were the cheerleaders chicks a part of the filming crew or what? I have never seen color coordinated girls running around comp hill! The fees are no longer an issue for me; just keep the idiots locked up and the medical aid on stand by!
  9. Perfect weekend! Not sure where the crowd was but it was great for riding. Took this photo of someone in a rail. Not sure who it is but here it is anyways.
  10. I've been keeping up with Daniels progress since I first read of his accident. I've got to tell you, reading the daily updates through Caringbridge has been a pleasure and an addiction. I've obviously never met the family nor Daniel however, I find myself caring as though I've know this child forever. Todays update on Caringbridge has a new video link that really hits home. Towards the end of the video it includes a couple of still phots of Daniel lying in his hospital bed. You almost get the sence of him setting up and saying "What the heck are all of you staring at"? I also feel for the "other" family. No one expects to go out for a family vacation and have their whole world turned upside down. This has to be nearly as devestating for them as well. Thanks to the Murphy family for allowing us to be a part of Daniels recovery.
  11. Overall the weekend was fairly calm. Never saw any accidents only heard the chopper fly out around 3:00am on Friday??? Wednesday was probably the worst day for wind. Thanksgiving day was fairly calm which was great for deep frying the turkey. Our group went to comp hill on Friday only to find the Sherriff's driving their rail like NUTS! launching off the starting line area and flying up the down side of the hill. Kinda wierd to see quads going around a rail to get down comp hill. Had my camera but didnt take pics.
  12. Lift is created with air/wind above the wings. With the plane itself not moving there is no air/wind above the wink to create lift. If your banshe is setting in neutral at the base of comphill and the mountain acts as a conveyer belt would an extended swing arm help you if the rear wheels are not creating the torque? Just a thought?
