  1. Thanks you guys...Michael is pretty happy.
  2. So here is how we're spending the second half of this vacation. The lake was beautiful today and the water is warming up nicely. Here's the new (to us) boat Pete.
  3. It was in the 90's during the day, but it cooled down to the 60's at night. It took us about 6 1/2 to 7 hours to get there, but we just cruised at about 62 mph and stopped a few times each way for the dogs and to get out and stretch.
  4. It was warmer there than we thought it was going to be, but the nights were nice. Wind blew like a b#tch Friday night til Sunday early am. After that if was beautiful. Came back a day early to get a head start on the unloading of the sand toys and getting the new boat ready. Here's some pics... Here's camp Semi's last trip...FOR SALE!!! Sunset Thursday nite GWH knocking the rust off her wheelies GWH heading up Sand Mountain Face of Sand Mountain
  5. This is from a mid summer trip last year
  6. In 1998 my hubby went riding at Dumont with a buddy. We didn't have any toys then so he was riding one of the other guy's quads. My husband was leading and BAM he wrecked. When the other guy got to him, his eyes, nose, and mouth were full of sand and he wasn't breathing. Rob got his mouth cleared out and got him breathing again, loaded him up (911 didn't work out there then, or else he said he wouldn't have moved him) and drove him all the way back here to St. Rose. Rob called me at work and waited til I got there to be with my husband before he left. He came back to my house and got my neighbor and they drove all the way back to Dumont and in the middle of the night found both quads and drove back. My hubby suffered compression fracture of the back, sprained wrist and lots of bruises but it could of been much worse. Rob is my hero for saving my honey's life and my neighbor is my hero for leaving his house in the middle of the night to go help Rob get his toys (or what was left of the one)
  7. I'm sure she thought about the riding gear at least once! Her riding boots probably would have been more comfortable for her than the heels.
  8. Here she is ... She looked beautiful for her Senior prom
  9. That feeling of falling is what gets me. And also water bugs.
  10. I checked the BITD website and it said the TT 250 isn't til the end of the month. They'll just be doing some pre-running this weekend.
  11. Ditto for us. Although now, when we have any issues, we're probably going to take it to the Upland repair shop. Wheeler's service (at least the last time we were in there) was terrible. Trailer was there 3 weeks and they called us to tell us it was ready. Went down to pick it up and they hadn't done any of the 5 things it was in there for.
  12. Congrats Ken!!!! You still got that color for my truck? I got a chip on the new paint that's down to the metal...I'll have to get a hold of you to get that fixed. Also got a little spot on the rhino I need fixed.
  13. Getting ready to change the oil in our 06 LBZ and was wondering if you guys have any thoughts on what oil to use. We're thinking about going to synthetic. We're looking at Shell Rotella and Amsoil. Anybody have any advise?
  14. His father said the decision to take him off of life support was what Eric wanted, so they must have discussed it at one time. I can't believe he is gone. He was such a burst of energy.
  15. Prayers go out to the family and team of Eric Medlen. If you don't know, he was injured Monday in a testing run at Gainesville the day after the Gatornationals. One of his tires blew and he hit the wall nearly head on. Can't believe these dragstrips still have concrete on either side of the drivers.
  16. I can't believe your storage place makes you pay. Ours is included in our space rent.
  17. Happy Birthday Tim!!!!! I'll have to bring some extra salsa for you the weekend of the cleanup.
  18. It was great meeting you Dan and good luck with your new life in San Diego.
