    I heard there were 3 fatalities @ dumont over the weekend. is that true??? what the fug was going on out there??? must have been amatuer night @ comp hill or something. if this is true, that is sad, and a huge blow to what we do, as you know that if it is true, it will be used against ALL OF US. I can see it now, more rangers, more fees .............

    if the batteries cannot take a charge, due to damaged cells, then you will not be able to start the genny. test the batteries first do you store your hauler @ home, or @ a storage yard? if at a storage yard, my friend takes his batteries home with him, keeps them in the garage, and hooks a trickle charge up to them every couple of weeks for like half a day. I, on the other hand, am ready to switch out to 6v batteries. 3 yrs, and both are gone

    when hooked up, does your tongue point down, flat or up? echo what DF said about the dist bars, and putting them on. a power tongue jack makes it soooooo much easier too!!

    the 7.3 powerstrokes were bulletproof. The trannies are OK. I have seen them replaces as soon as 100k is it only gonna be used as a tower, or a daily driver??? I think it would be a solid deal, but the price, i think, is a little high. have a mechanic check it out first before you buy. good luck dieselstop.com deals only with ford diesels, including the powerstoke series.

    In Ca, the rails need to be taken to the local CHP, and inspected, to get an OHV permit. I had to do it for a quad that I had to assemble "out of the box". I had to take it down to the CHP, have them do what they do, and give me some paperwork that I took to the local DMV. they, in turn,. gave me a green sticker

    once a year, do a bleach-water solution. my tanks hold 100 gal of fresh water, so I fill them up, ad a gallon of bleach to it, drive the rig around to ensure proper mixing , and then let it sit for about 7-10 days. also, run it through your lines too I know people that buy liquid chlorine for swimming pools, and put about 8-10 oz in their tank everytime they fill up to go duning. seems like a good idea, as all drinking water has a certain amount of chlorine

    over on RV.net, I have read nothing but horror stories about johnny walker black label....disappointment after disappointment. as far as them not servicing your rig.....find a local RV repair shop that you trust, and then call the maufacturer. tell them the deal about buying out of town,,,,,johnny walker choking on 9 inch richards, etc, then tell them of this wonderful place you found that works on RV's. they will let u use the new place for warranty work.

    stickers?????? did someone say stickers?????? the last time I went to dumont, my friend who went with me worked as a commercial driver. He told me to get behind the fastest bigrig, and put the cruise on, which I did. we were doing aorund 62 mph, when a chp that was hiding on the other side of an offramp caught my eye in my sideview pulling off the dirt onto the road. he flew past me, and got the truck!!!

    well, looking at google maps, it does show the north pole to be east/northeast of comp hill. if my memory serves me correctly, it is on the last little dune, all the way to the east of the dune complex???

    any of you guys have a gps?? a couple of my fiends have our camp and the north pole gps'd. I will see if I can get the coords and plot the direction
