  2. has anyone ever seen a F-250 diesel 4x4 truck in the dunes on paddles? Now that I am packin a little more umpphhhh... I would love to see if I can climb a hill or two... before I tried with the mudders and got about 30' and sank... it was quite depressing, too much torque and not enough speed. Its all different now though
  3. theres still cold creek! http://www.fs.fed.us/r4/htnf/districts/smnra/ohv.shtml

  5. I also was out there Friday night,... I was running my truck at the strip... best time was 13.8 @ 92.5mph... not too bad for weighing in at 7100#
  6. Cole, Just curious but why didnt you go with a suspension seat?
  7. I assume that it was self winched up there, and sinched down with the winch also ... I have seen people hang their quads from trees just because they could.

  14. Ok, so I went out and bought 40 dollars worth of pad locks for my new toyhauler, and when I went to clip them on I noticed that my latches were all attached with what appears to be self tapping screws. I find it really hard to believe that this is how this trailer came... can some of you send me some pictures of your latching system so that I may find the best way to remedy this problem... I would think that getting interior fasteners would be the best, but I cant see the hardware on the inside of the door so I wouldn't have a way of attaching it. ideas? pics?
  15. it looks like a really nice lens set up... just kinda ironic that you got pictures of it with a camera phone :freakin_nuts:
  16. sams.... but they are pretty easy, you could do the yourself with a manual :freakin_nuts:
  17. LOL that ones easy "Self Contained Utilitarian Domicile"
  18. Alright, so I bough a new scud, and this was found inside the main cargo bay... Its made of 1/2" stainless rod, with extremely nice welds on the attachments. One attachment has a knurled knob at the end of it... Much like that of the striker on a Bick lighter. The other appears to just be a piece of bent rod threaded into the sliding attachment... Its in two pieces with an aluminum collar to connect the two.... The lower section is pointed as you can see in the picture... As I said, I found it in the cargo hold, so I assume its RV related, anyone that can help identify it please come forward.
  19. Harbor Freight sells plastic welders.... that really the best way to go if your gonna do it that way, apperantly they sell a color fill rod that matches the old honda plastics pretty well too. you can fill the crack from the top side also and then sand it down and it will be good as new.... be sure to wet sand and polish though. you can also find alot of supplys here http://www.urethanesupply.com/storeatv.php
  20. Its a '05 and we paid 14K and no tax (cause it was a Repo)
  21. We finally found a hauler in our price range, and with all the features that we were looking for... Here she is Got her from the credit union, I know someone was sad to loose her, it seems to be in really nice shape. the previous owners took care of it. We are grateful and lucky!
  22. ummm. on second thought... why not just get a new master link with the clip... they cant be that much money, if you bought the chain here in town they would probably switch links with you at no charge... I know my parts man would
  23. yeah but just think the money you'll save by not half 'N it... and not having the chain go through your case
  24. I think your stuck... you need the tool. but if you dont want to buy one, its probably cheaper the have it done, I had to use the tool at Sam's for my last chain
