  1. Its all about the crowds... and I am a firm believer that the guys that I ride with are part of what makes a quality trip for me!
  2. I would love to make it out to Dumont, I don't know where I am going out there though... and I just have not met too many people that go there... most of my riding buddies go to Rasor and Glamis (they are all from So. Cal.) also... if there is someone thats handy with Google Earth, it would be super benifical to have someone put together a .KML file of all the sites and attractions in the area of Dumont.... IE, No. pole, bathroom sites, camping areas, wash areas, trail rides and closed areas. I have done one for the Rasor road area, it can be found here (its FREE) http://rapidshare.com/files/312229499/Rasor_mailed_file.kml
  3. I have ridden one with a 500 in it... honestly I wasn't comfortable on it... it was Mr. Kasey's and it was alot of bike, both power and length.
  4. Go with the motorsports package and the HD .... check out this thread! http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/showthread.php?t=105996
  5. thanks guys ... Sandawg, I got the leg thing covered ( 29 years triking experience)
  6. got a really good deal, considering that most of the stuff on the bike is either new, or in really nice condition!
  7. I am digging your project, looks like a really fun little rail now. I have not seen anyone mention it yet so I will, might think of changing the poly lines to the oil pressure gauge, they don't last long with chaffing, and it looks like its gonna see some through the grate at the bottom of your floor. maybe encase them in some brake line? or go copper tube all the way back I had a Nova some years back and was turned out of tech at the Strip because I had poly lines to my gauge... they were worried about oil downs on the track... got me to thinking... if I could cause a oil down with that teeny tiny little tube, how long would it take to pump all the oil out of my motor... just something to think about
  8. Did mine with chains and closable links... liked this method cause its adjustable for slope needs or if the trailer is a bit tweaked.
  9. This is really your "BEST" option with a short bed, it still lets you load all cargo and stay away from a trailer... but again, with this much weight, this high from your center of gravity you do need to pay attention to your driving. Things can get really tricky REALLY FAST!
  10. yeah, I have been going to Mark and Joe for about 7 years, and I have always been treated right... sorry about your bad experience
  11. glad that you got your issue fixed, and at very little cost to you, but a lesson was learned here.... its just as easy to fill up at 1/4 of a tank as it is to "when the light comes on" 6.ohs are notorious for having priming issues too, you do not want to be in that boat either... my .02
  12. I would take the question here www.powerstroke.org
  13. ball joints? wheel bearings? are you sure it wasn't hit... if it doesn't run straight, I would find a shop with an old alignment setup.... Like George's in Las Vegas.
  14. dont forget this place (downtown Portland, OR.)
  15. Things can get really hairy on that site real fast.... remember when the cranes collapsed? well I had to do the forensic survey for the aftermath and I can tell you first hand.... They were damn lucky everyone went home early that day!
  16. have you stopped by a vet and had him checked for a microchip ???
  17. this video is for a Railless system, I want the rails... I am going to fabricate some racks to pin on the the rails for tires, gas and coolers.... so that they will not slide around and can be pulled out of the bed as a unit Think chase truck meets weekend warrior
  18. Please help me out... I am looking for an instruction manual to mount the rails for a fifth wheel hitch into the back of a 2004 F250, I would prefer a PDF file if anyone could scan their instructions, or has a link to them I would really appreciate it!!!! Thanks for looking and I will post when I have the instructions if it isn't already obvious
  19. I have come across quite a few ideas in the past here are a few of mine.... 1 Outside shower attatchment to run misters off the awning. 2 Drop down screen from the bottom bunk for projector 3 Some homemade wheel chocks 4 as for the cables to the back deck, I avoided all the hassel of building the cables and just bought 1800# chains and removable links... works great and are adjustable to any height.
  20. we did the one on the back of my dads house, setting the header and colums was the hardest part... after that the entire cover was done in 3 hours... and we have never done one before. a few hours work and some beer and you can get it done! Its not rocket science.
  21. that's a little further than I wanna go, but its defiantly a cool rig
  22. I am sure that its less traction than at the drag strip, 4x4 launches at 1600 RPM give a nice chirp then a jump and gone
  23. I never dropped the pressure, I had to tow out of Rasor and didnt have a compresser on hand to fill back up for the trip out.... I just thought it would be kinda cool to throw on some paddles for a few minutes.
