When I heard about the sewn in Crow's ripping.....I replaced mine right away. I was going to ask Crow to replace the bottom portion of the shoulder harness but after inspecting them they were out of date, and they were the 2x3's. We are building a baja for my son, and just put in the class 11 cage.....so there was a new set of 3x3's available and not being used at the moment. I like the 3x3's much better and my son wants his replaced with the 3x3's with sewn in padding. I'm also thinking about moving my rear bar where the shoulders mount....I'm not super happy about where it is now. Sorry about the thread hijack dunefreak.....oh well...it's a good subject anyhow.

How Bad Is The Traffic Back To La From Dd?
SandBox_Kid replied to bigriver37's topic in Dumont Happenings
Yeah...that's the great part about livin' here. When I go to Dumont I go through Baker and fuel up...then it's through Tecopa then a detour via the Red Rock Loop (to avoid the line at I-15) and then home. -
It's 2 years and from what I understand all belts have a date stamp on them. I don't think twice about it..... It's too cheap considering the cost of injury of life.

Well I know barneycar can whip a$$ on my peanut motor!! Go barneycar!!

Looks kinda goofy....but it is a big A$$ truck...

I got my info from a fireman on the rv.net site....who apparently does a bunch of this. I also hear that diesel is better than regular. Since I haven't tried it yet....I've only done the homework...I can't say that I am an expert either. But with what you're saying, I'm thinking the bottle can't heat up too quickly or have a large temperature change in a short span of time otherwise it will break....just like putting a super hot glass in cold water.

LB7 & LLY Dmax Programmer Comparison Chart
SandBox_Kid replied to dunefreak's topic in Truck, Jeep, & Car talk
I have the predator programmer and thought it would raise the limiter.....WRONG. I hit around 110mph on the way back from checkin' out Rasor Rd.....and my son thought I hit the brakes!! -
who doesn't?

Some peeps on rv.net laid it out pretty clear. 1) fill sobe bottle with flammable liquid of your choice....2/3 - 3/4 full. (usually right to the glass ring just below the neck) 2) drill 1/8" hole in cap.....put cap back on bottle...tight. 3) place in fire...not too hot or the bottle will explode. 4) run....stand back and watch the show.

I did the same thing my first time at Amargosa....the 3rd time out with the rail. Note to self:DON'T LEAVE YOUR WALLET IN YOUR BACK POCKET.....I had a nice square shaped bruise on my A$$ and cracked the engine case right where it mounts to the top of the tranny!! It's all good though....I put a tranny strap on and welded some brackets for support. FYI - I'm not convinced that the aluminum case is stronger than the magnesium....anyone know if it's supposed to be?

I started out with a swamp cooler on the garage...but it didn't work too well with my cabinet shop....so I went with A/C....However the nice thing about the swamper is that I could run that and cool my whole house for the first month or so of summer.

That barneycar tears it up.... What's under the hood?
-
Not to add insult to injury...but those seatbelts are looking like they've had enough UV..... just a thought...I know you already have other issues.
-
I plan on being there....gotta get some maintenance on the toys done first. It'll probably be just me and my son.....my main group is heading to Amargosa.

I bet it's straight when you're drunk!!

I was thinkin the same thing....then I found this site and all my questions were answered. I just try and relate my camp to the gay balloon and find it every time....except when it went down in the middle of prez day weekend....then we got lost at night more than once!!
-
I hear ya there....we try and see who has the biggest smile and had the most fun....now there's a contest.

I've seen one episode and it was pretty epic. I think I seen it on CMT when I was channel surfing. It's amazing what they did to this one guy's truck....it started out pretty disgusting and BLAM one bad a$$ truck was the result.

After getting stuck a bunch of times....that's exactly what I learned. The more they spin, the more you dig!!

I wish we had this kind of effort out at Amargosa....some pigs left a pile of garbage last weekend!!
