Too late. Very good point. Back in the 70's when we rode the desert we always kept one thought in the back of our minds: "We are ?? minutes from any medical care. Be careful, and never ride alone." My dad is a good example of that. He ate it on an old Hodaka and broke his leg in four places with 3rd degree burns all over. He eventually got to medical care many hours later.....but 25 years later.....gang green set in and killed him. I never rode Dumont back then........can anyone tell me if there was any medical personnel available back then? I really feel people are expecting too much sometimes, ,and can't be happy with something is better than nothing. :mc_smiley: In this sport I think it is foolish to depend on anyone outside of your group. If there is medical care available.....BONUS.

I agree with Bob on that one 100%. I had to go back to school to get a "paper" that said I could already do what I was already doing well. That raised my yearly take home by a bunch of money......

I felt the same way after being a support equipment mechanic in the Air Force for 4 years. It took me a while....but I think I got away from turning a wrench for a living. An Automotive tech level II at Clark County currently tops out at $66,000 a year. Next July 1 it will be at $68,000.....until our current contract runs out on at June 2010.

You might be on to something.

Outside of the box.....I like it. Much better than I expected.....however I'm not too sure about practicality.

Great racing family. It's nice to see them mingle with the rest of us "common folk."

I was actually being sincere when I said "good luck finding a riding partner"....that's why you started this thread...right? I was also being sincere when I stated...."I hope this doesn't get you in trouble someday".....I've seen that kinda stuff get folks in deeep trouble. Perhaps if you were a little more clear on what you never back down to..... I don't know....and I don't care anymore. I hear that......

That's how you come across to me. Just like this post. That's nice....but you're not here for my entertainment. All I'm saying is the tough talk gets old real quick, and you do it allll the time. Good luck finding some riding partners.

I hope that doesn't get you in trouble someday....if it hasn't already.

All that e-thug talk from a housewife? It's not what you're saying it's how you're saying it.......or maybe it is what you're saying. Either way the rhetoric has gotten boring.

Sorry...no refunds on a leap year.

Yeah....you can pick on me next time I do something stupid. I can take it. I'm stronger than that, and know it's all in fun. Besides I have more confidence in myself than to take what people on the internet say about me personal. I think what we are experiencing here is the youngsters expecting respect. I've noticed most have forgotten that it must be earned from your peers and elders.....not just given away like a cheap suit. Either way....... Seems like a couple of threads have gone this way lately. :chev_bowtie:

I don't need a pass on anything here........junior!! J/K I'm not a quad rider at heart....I'm more of a fat guy in a rail. However, I am working on the quad thing even though I'm close to 40. What movie is it from? I'm thinking about photochopping it and putting dunes behind the old guy! :assrock: Oh chit....here comes mom!
-
I hear ya. I'm actually a rail guy myself. No travel at this point....but someday I'll have a LT. I just recently bought a quad and decided to try it out......glad I didn't get the dirtbike!! "With age comes the cage!!!"

Here's all the info on the cleanup.... Click

I'm pretty sure cleanup is only from 8am to 12 noon.....then you can ride all you want.
-
<--- monkies on bikes.

You must be thinking I am only talking to you. I don't see where I put words into your mouth.

This just in...... Click

Saying that most adults and children can ride quads doesn't really amount to anything. A monkey can be trained to operate a motorcycle too. I learned to ride on motorcycles....and rode many years around Cali before leaving home. When I finally got back into it many years later I tried one of those fancy things with all that new fangled suspension.....no thanks. I'm smarter than that, and don't need to feel like I'm a bada$$ anymore. Mortgage companies don't care either. This is just a hobby....and "It's just sand." Quads aren't something to scoff at either. You can say what you want, but they also deserve their due. However, comparing the two is like apples and oranges... ...and argueing about it is just plain retarded.

We'll be there, but if I keep getting harrassed about donating and being there.....I might just quit the club. Should be good times.
