Does anybody finish reading a thread before they reply anymore? Or is there an uncontrollable itch to hit the reply button regardless of how many reply's are after that? How many times do I have to say it?

That's just it though. These are the days that people wouldn't give someone the time of day let alone worrying about inconvieniencing someone. It's all about me, me, me, me, me, me, me....and the rest of you. I don't get it. That's as simple as it gets right there. It's a dune....not yours.....not mine.....but OURS. Where did I find the energy for this topic? :mischevious:

I guess nobody reads what others bother to take the time to write. Thanks for clearing it up though. Everyone seems like they are on edge lately.
-
I have no doubt the camera went to their heads.
-
Tough crowd. My mistake....it looked just like the LE Funco at night.
-
Sheeesh! Ok......let me generalize then. The film crew was in the Funco that was owned by some law enforcement agency.....that is paid for by the public. That is a waste of public funds.
-
Maybe they were scared of the gun show......
-
Close. Valley Performance is the fab shop in the back...and I believe they are still there. The retail shop in the front used to be called Discount Foreign Auto, but has since changed to Butch's Speed Shop.
-
That's right....it's a Sheriff Funco. Still great use of our funds....whether it's taxes or entrance fees they are still public servants being paid by the public. Right when they passed by some idiots were riding double on a banshee with no helmets right behind them. We are our own enemy at times.

I understand bob....but it's just the internet. Fugg it. Have a coke and smile bud. I agree the camp racing is outta hand....and it's not just on the fingers. I had 2 close calls with idiots that weren't paying attention at all. Both on the flats cruising back to camp. I even ran my HID's to ensure I could be seen. Thank God the last guy ate $hit before getting close enough.

I don't see it.

Ask Big Rick. He has one.......oh wait a minute. He quit the club.

I was looking right at it when it went off, and I was no where near the rock pile. The damn thing echoed like a cannon, and was definately not a 5 gallon gas can. It was something possibly wrapped in rubber.

Wow. It's been a while since we've seen a bunch of men get their panties in a wad over an internet discussion. As a matter of fact this discussion is about roping off the dunes......not camp racing. Just agree to disagree.... ....and if anyone wants to pull up in the middle of my camp and set up....go for it....I hope you like death metal till 3am each and every day!!!

JJ......aka lvnalolife (sp?)

Thanks for helping out another duner. It was nice meeting you at camp the other day. (We were your neighbors) Also, thanks for the update mom. We really like to hear these accidents turn out for the better. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery for Raymond.

I noticed a little server lag or something like that about the same time you posted......cause it happened to me also.

I've had the same type of experience there. Go to Butch's just down the street on Meade Ave. Great service there!

Don't know....I pullled in about that time. They ended up rolling past us in the back and around the front again. Of course we kept it cool.......I'm not looking to be famous. The camera guy was in the BLM Funco at the time. Nice use of our fees. Seemed like they were looking hard for material, but didn't have much luck. We'll see I suppose.

Not only did I hear it....I was close enough to witness it! I just happened to notice some dude dressed in all black carrying what looked like an inner tube for a quad out to the open road area near our camp. He soaked it in gasoline and lit it on fire......and just as my friend said "That was just about the most stupid a$$ thing I ever saw"......it fuggin blew. Shocked the chit outta us. We were about 30 yards away at the most. We went over the next day and found pieces of rubber inner tube laying around. Flyin' Ryan and some V8 rail guys camped next to us. Nice guys....and killer rails. This was my first chance to see it up close and personal. WOW! I also got to see it run in the dunes. Impressive. We had a killer time. Lot's of duning and lots of camp fire fun as usual!! I'm tired and sore as he!!, so I know it was a good weekend. :freakin_nuts: I think I saw more wheelie kings eat chit this weekend than ever. One dude was coming right at me on his 2-wheeler when he ate it. Looked weird from that angle. The FJ Cruiser was also pretty amazing....I think that dude went everywhere. We had so much fun it went tooooooo quickly and I didn't even get out to find other camps or the meet and greet. Maybe next time. We helped Richie and some other guys push this heavy rail that was high centered on a dune....... Waved to a few DDR folks, but most didn't recognize me on a quad.....and some didn't recognize or see the rail. Sand~~Snake's reaction was the best when I rode by and gave him the rock horns!!

Agreed. Start enforcing the rules before someone gets hurt..... I say under 3.......who has the energy to about this again?
-
Great advice. :freakin_nuts:

Yes they were marking up the passes by $5 a piece. I actually have a receipt in my wallet to remind me why I don't shop there anymore even though I didn't like the service to start with. I mentioned their attitude to a few board members, but most must have remembered the good old days when they were cool and couldn't understand why I was so pissed at their cavalier attitude. I would only shop there if it meant saving my duning trip. I have gotten to know Dave at Butches' Speed Shop....formerly Discount Foreign Auto....and that dude has ALWAYS taken care of me. I cannot say enough about Dave at Butches', and all the free advice, discounts and even a free part or two at times (cause I know I dropped some coin in there). Is that where you ended up? They are just around the corner from Nevada Off Road......on Meade Ave.

We don't celebrate Valentine's day. After 20 yrs of marriage she is my sweetheart everyday. However, when we do celebrate special occasions it's the 3 B's for me. Beer, Bj and Beef Jerky!! Tonight will be all about loading for Dumont tomorrow!! :north_pole:
