***Sold**** Hello all, Id like to put my Turbo 2276 motor for sale. I am ashamed to say I know little about it other then the following. I purchased my sandcar from a husband & wife in phoenix arizona who where the original owners whom new little about the engine themselves other than it was built for them at Claudes Buggies (CB Performance). It was a long travel 5 seater for $13,500 Which is why i jumped on it no questions asked. I pulled off the valve covers and it does have CB roller bearing rockers. He said it was built to handle 20lb boost in which Ive had it at 18 and yes it does pull hard. It has 44 webers, t3-t4 turbo, bosch fuel pump, petronix electronic ignition. The engine is still in my sandcar so you can hear it run and if you show me the cash Id be glad to run you around the block just to prove its ability to make you smile!! Ive had many people in this car whom said they have never been in a vw that pulled that hard. All lines are stainless russel fittings. Ok the reason im selling. I need something that dunes all around better. I hate the fact that you constantly have to build boost to get anyware. Im opting for a Honda 3.5 N/A. PUMP GAS!!. This motor does require race fuel. I know theres not many people out there buying VW motors right now so my price reflects that. $3800 Whover s interested in purchasing it is more then willing to watch me pull it. PM me if interested. Thank You for the info, sounds like a killer motor. Im swaying in the honda direction at the moment only for cost. $2900 turnkey with ecu all i need is radiator , fuel pump, new clutch kit and fab some new engine mounts. They claim 275hp 240tq. stock. I guess will see if thats true but for under $4000 i cant beat it. Also we saw pete's car at dumont and that turbo is very intising although my 091 would puke its guts out farly quickly. Ok, so im selling my turbo 2276 and want to install either ej20 subi or honda 3.5. I know some of you guys put your own setups together rather then opted for the spendy outfront setup. You see all these motors on ebay. What else is needed other than stand alone ecu,harness, radiator, fuel pump, intake, shortened oil pan, adapter plate? Also i saw a company in phoenix selling turnkey honda 3.5's for 2900.00. Pro's & cons? I appreciate all the info. Cheers.

2 @ 6.75x15 front sand tires unlimited razors with minor dry cracking and 2 @ 14.50x15 xtreme competitor with some sidewall steel belt showing from previous owner running under inflated. All hold air just fine. Taking up to much room in my garage. $100 bill takes all. $60 for fronts or rears if want seperate. Im in henderson off equestrian & magic. PM if interested. Thank You!!

My car has a turbo'd 2276 VW. I am not a vw fan. Simply because i know nothing about maintaning them. But i have to say the guy i bought the car from said the motor was built by a well know vw builder and never have i ever been in a car with a vw motor that pulled that hard. Originally when i bought car seller told me it was built to handle 20 pounds boost, first trip out i had a friend watch boost guage for me (i just couldnt focus on it for some reason) and sure enough it was 18 pounds. I have it turned down to 12 just to save whatever tranny i have left. Im going to sell motor soon and go turbo honda 3.5L. Had a ride in a fairly heavy car with this setup and was very impressed. Plus runs pump gas not the 9 bucks a gallon VP im buying now.

Wish i would have waited a week, i just ordered 2 from xtreme $787.50. Great tire, i have a 091 all weddle and also still nervous that this tire might be a little aggressive but i guess will see. Those trips to RC trans are not cheap. Sorry to ramble, good luck with sale.

Hey all, im looking to buy a powered trailer dolly like parkit360, powercaster, power mover style . My trailer is 26' and dry weighs 5900lbs. I was really hoping to find a used one possibly collecting dust in someones garage. I thought about building one using a ac gearmotor or even cheaper one of harbor freights new winches with cable removed and sprockets installed. Wow, thank you for the feedback, 10/4 on the brake controller. Ive drove company trucks with these installed and it was a defenite noticeability. Also LMAO about stuffing my avatar 4 seater in it. Yes ive allready confirmed the stove will be sacrafised, if anyone needs on it will be free to a good home. My car is just over 13' and i pretty sure the sink can be spared. Anyone reccomend a towing supply store? Andydew i also had a 4.8 in a 07 k1500 which i really liked other then its lack of towing capabilities. Comming home from dumont out of baker with a open car hauler, the first hill about killed it, 3rd gear, 2nd gear, 3rd gear then finally 2nd all the way up. Tranny temp went to 210 and made me nervous as hell. Wife and i said enough, we need more power but i just didnt want the stiff ride eveyone i know was complaining about with there 3/4 & 1 tons. Hello all, I have a opportunity to pick up a weekend warrior 23' fs2300 for a fair price. My concern is id be towing with. 2011 GMC K1500 1/2 ton 6.2L motor. I know most people shy away from towing haulers with 1/2 tons but have heard of a few doing so. My truck has great towing power but just concerned about overloading the hitch and or overall truck capacity. Weekend warrior claims 5600lbs dry, that seems a little lite and hard to believe. Im predicting with my 4 seater and loaded wet to be around 8000. But could be way off on that. I would be greatful for feedback on Any experiances anyone has had and or accessories used to benifit there towing with 1/2 tons. Lookin forward to another awesome safe season. Thank you. I was not implying you come over and put your foot up my butt, although i thought for sure i was in for a schooling from some sandrail tire expert and how putting taller tires on was going make the earth rotate backwards. No offense taken and surely none given.

Correct, fronts just dont look right. Totaly aware taller tire harder to steer (for those of us without PS). But im willing to experiment. Yea im lost on the hole bert thing, mayby sandawg wants to come explain it to me since he's close.

Hello all, im going to order a new set of paddles & turning fronts and just curious what everyone else in running. I have a older Sand Cars Unlimited 5 seater turbo vw running 14.50x15 rears and 6.875x15 turning fronts. I definetly want to run taller fronts to help get rid of the beetle stance. Thank you.

One last trip 4/28, then motor and tranny going up for sale. 2276 turbo and 091 all weddle. Going subi , probably going to need input from anyone running a ej20t. What years? What ems? Thanks. Hope all had a safe season.
