Wow, it took me a bit longer than most, but I saw the light. I am glad me and my daughter are out of that camp. It was a dark hole that has helped to end my short marriage. A bunch of people with low morals. No more dark pit for me. Ignorance is expensive.

My truck was broken into this eve up in Henderson (actually wasn't locked). Was between 4:30 N 5:30 where I park at work. Was a white Z71 pickup parked near there for awhile and for the past week would always show up @ the same time. Think it must have been that person who did it. Anyway the gutted my gloveboxes, just took everything from them, junk and all. Picked through the rest of my stuff in the cab. Took alot of my daughters movies, dvd player, and some toys also (why?). Ended up taking my Dumont pass amongst all of this stuff. So if all you wonderful fellow duners could keep a lookout for someone trying to sell a season pass or if you have one you don't think you will be using, please let me know. We still half a season left and would rather not have to buy another one or otherwise. Thanks Becky

I was out there Sun morn of Halloween weekend with my daughter. Sorry I was just picking up the cans (beginning her college fund). I was sad that there was so much other junk that I wasn't picking up. Had planned on taking more bags next time so I could pick up other trash also, but didn't make it out there for Thanks weeknd. As it was I filled 2 35gal bags with just the cans. Thanks for the donations for my girls fund, but sad to say that so many people left so much out there.

I recently found a guy in Hendo that sells split and non split wood. I haven't used him but sounds like it might be a cool deal. Search craigs list for firewood. He had a listing even for duners.

I wasn't planning on making jellos, but if you want to, be my guest. Might have to wait til some family leaves before we can get too crazy.

Who could ask for a more perfect setting for a wedding celebration? Dumont Dunes will now have even more of a place in our heart. Saturday of cleanup weekend John and I will be celebrating our wedding with our family and friends at Dumont. Our festivities will start after 5pm if any of you well wishers would like to stop by, the more the merrier! Just look for the Hilton near Bathroom 6. I am sure you wont be able to miss us.

I used to know some Bacas that were into Toyota landcruisers. This was years ago, but the family had a dif shop off of Charleston and Mojave area in Vegas. Could have been out there for the non Jeep jamboree. Maybe related?

I thought that desert cars or dual sport are heavier duty plus have front brakes, sand cars typically don't have front brakes to make them lighter. Correct? Also tires are different.

We were headed home Monday @ noon when a motor home in front of us started smoking. This was going up the hill on the 127 northbound. By the time we got closer there was a fire under it, with a long line of fluid up to where it was stopped. Didn't want to pull in behind, just in case it was fuel, couldn't pull in after cuz there were already @ 5 rigs stopped. Nowhere to pull in our 40 fter. so we continued on. tried to call 911 many times, no service. By the time we got to Tacopa to dump the fire dept was rolling. Just wondering if anyone heard, saw, or knows what else happened? I hope everyone as ok.
