  1. Jordan, you should have told me that your dad had caught the bug I would have let him take mine out to see the difference a car motored car was. Maybe next time. Make sure he does not rush into a purchase. There are a lot of knowledgeable car guys on this forum and we can guide his purchase with something that will hold up and not be a mechanical nightmare that some of us have had to endure. Terry
  2. Other than my senses I can't think of anything I have lost there, oh yeah my mind that may be where it's at. I will look next time out.
  3. I want to thank Pete for putting this together. It was a great trip and you couldn't ask for better dunes to run nor better weather to do it in! It was great meeting the new people and seeing the regular faces again. I really enjoyed having my son in law and my 2 grandsons come out. Seeing the oldest one getting on a YFZ after about a 8 year absence was great. Last quad he rode was a 250 ex with no clutch. He did very well at mastering the clutch and had a good time. I am hoping his leg will heal faster so not only can he come out and ride but further his baseball at AZ. Western. Jordan, thank your dad for the scales and the time and effort you both did in weighing the cars it was really cool, also thank him for the info on the anti gravity machine, after Saturday's run I needed one in the M/H . Jordan, I didn't realize the scarf was for raw neck, you just need to adjust it longer to get the pads to be around your neck instead of the belt itself. If you don't have sewn in pads most manufacturers sell pads that can be added on with Velcro. Overall it was a great trip and I think the run on Saturday afternoon was about the fastest I have been through the dunes. Thanks Lou and Lindsey!! Hope I didn't upset anyone by passing but the car likes to run up front(it's an ego thing with the dam thing that I can't seem to cure) Had a great time and thanks again to all it was great meeting and running with all of you. Terry
  4. I would be glad to sign off on it. Do you need it dated for this year last March, or for next arch or any old date? E- Mail me the form or I can give you my address if you need an original signature. Terry
  5. about an hour delay for me. Should be out of here by 1
  6. Pete, how about a panoramic picture with all the cars pointed downhill along with all the other machines at Talladega? That would be an awesome picture I would think. Terry
  7. So here's the question of the day; How are we going to know exactly where we are all going to be parked at? I mean I know Pete was kind enough to put it on the map but that's a fairly big area so do we just roll in and if anybody is in that general area pull up and just say is this the "Pete's Big Buggy Round-up"? I just don't want to see us get spread out all over and somebody or more have to pick up and move to join the group cause they weren't sure. I am hoping to be on the road by noon from Henderson so I would imagine I will be there by 2:30. If all goes normal. Just so you know if we have not met I have a 40' Alfa M/H pulling a white 30' trailer so if you see me come up the hill feel free to wave but please use more than one finger:) Terry
  8. Pete, I was just at Figgs Performance and they sell Odessy but only have a 1200 in stock. Said he could have one in one day if you call them. Just an FYI.
  9. I prefer UTV inc's doors. But that's just me
  10. I have about a 1/2 bottle in the freezer in the M/H and may P/U another. In small quantities it is good. Larger quantities for this old man is well kind of tuff the next morning:) Garret, Richard and Bradon are coming out Friday night after Richard gets of off work. If you want to save her from buying a pass I am sure Richard and the boys would be glad to haul her out. there bringing my truck so there would be room. Talk to Richard and see if you guys can work that out since they have to come here to get my truck, Anna could leave her truck here and you two could travel home together and save the gas money. Yeah the firewood is going to be a big issue so everybody Bring it!!!!!!!
  11. Pete, I am planning on heading out Thursday afternoon. I am assuming your coming out after work? If so I will have a fire going and I am sure a cold beverage could be arranged. I would suggest to everyone coming out to please bring as much firewood as you can. It's going to be cold and with lot's of folks around the fire it's going to need to be a pretty big fire. So see you all this weekend for fun in the cool sun, fresh dunes and good friends. Sounds like a Christmas present to me:)
  12. Rees get`s his stuff from Mobile radio in Boulder City then assembles the helmet with speakers and mic's. Should be able to get you a better deal I would think.
  13. Call a local guy who offers great service and prices. Mobile radio communications @ 702 293-sand ask for Coy. He even came by my house to make sure he was making up the wiring connector's. Don't get service like that anymore. He also has some made up open face helmets with mics and speakers that are very reasonable. Tell him Terry sent you. Terry Call him today at 702 293-SAND and push 1 for Coy, it transfers you to his cell which he may P/U today and you can get your questions answered.
  14. Pete, just a heads up and you can look at my set up next weekend. But I to was set up just for the PC925 and after getting a Total and their mounting bracket Walter and I were able to bolt them right up and use the Total. Fit like a glove.
  15. Butch's carries Total Power which is a hair bigger but a much better battery. Otherwise the Battery store on Eastern @ the 215 freeway have them usually in stock.(PC925's)
  16. Freak, I think this guy has a hard on for you my friend!
  17. Nice Coach Rod, and I am not giving you a hard time but you may want to re-check that it only has a 30 gallon fresh water capacity. That will hold a lot of desert rats up due to lack of water carrying capability. Hopefully it's just a typo.
  18. Jim I have a extra shower hose if you want it. I changed shower heads and it came with a new hose but I didn't need it. Let me know if you need/want it. Terry
  19. Check out Glamisdunes.com on the sandrail talk, there's a guy who is looking hard at your rail.
  20. Hanging with and driver comfort and control are a different thing. Nothing against Busa cars but I would make the step up and I think Pete would agree with that since he's owned both.
  21. Jordan, when I first saw Pete's car I was a little concerned about it being manufactured using mild steel. How ever after seeing the use and abuse that car has taken from Pete I would definitely step up to the Tech 3. It's an amazing car and Pete show's his no mercy and has very little issues with it. Skip the Busa car, you will only be looking for something different in a short period of time. Best wishes, Terry
  22. Your picking a tuff road to hoe to start with Jordan, why don't you pick on someone with out quite so much experience in a sand car at Dumont LOL! You may stand a better chance but if not I will take bets with odds.
