Sub-Group Meeting Barstow field office
ynot replied to ynot's topic in Dumont Regulations, Safety & BLM
That's the T-N-T railroad bed. It's been a long standing 4x4 route across the desert and there are some bills that are trying to change the status of it's use. It's what we call the border to the closed area where the old Tonopah and Tidewater Railroad used to run. It appears that there may be a date conflict with Katrina (BLM field Manager) and we may be changing it to 10-1 or 10-8. I will let everybody know as soon as the new date is set. Terry -

Not sticking up for it as I wasn't even aware they were not going to continue this program but as I have stated in my posts about the sub-group meetings is that the BLM is broke and needs all they can get to continue their services to Dumont. It would not surprise me in the least to see cutbacks in services this year. Just a FYI the next Sub-Group meeting is on September 24 Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the Barstow field Office. I will be driving down if anybody is interested in going along they are always welcome.

Jeez did I accidently come on the "Let's make a deal" website? I am losing money at $25.00 and the company will take it back at no shipping charge so $25.00 is it. If you need a loan for the $2.50 see Pete he might loan it to you but the vig will be strong:)

I use a 5 gallon bucket and drew a line where the neck of the filter extends from the filter. So when you rinse it up and down in water and I use orange degreaser. It keeps the dirt from coming back through the filter opening and back into the filter. I get my cleaner at Costco or Lowes.

Pete, I run the AEM's and love them, no more oil but do run outwears just for the extra protection.
-
Glad it worked out for you:)
-
Ok, I slept on it and I accept your offer of $25.00 now come and get it. If I don't answer the door yell over the gate as I will be in the pool.

I would be in but that's the weekend of the super run car show and some of us are putting our cars in this year. I have some odds and ends I would love to get rid of though. -
i believe it was a freezer so i remember it just takes a while. 25 and it's yours in the original container!
-
And how do you get an insult out of anything I have posted on here? Maybe your getting to sensitive for your old age?
-
I believe I gave you something the night you were over in case you don't remember. I don't remember what it was but it was something. So bring me the $25.00 and quit your snivelking
-
Really your beating me up for $5.00? I am in it $30.00 so $25.00 is it. Otherwise I will return it an get the $25.00 from the vendor.Let me know?
-
It's a SOA patch blown up to 5x8 proportions; There you go, happy now Jim:) BTW it has 3 brass grommets for putting it on a flagpole.
-
c'mon it's a friggen banner not a specialty item. You either want it or you don't
-
I bought this banner thinking I could fly it on the car but at 84" long it is just to big. I am afraid that when stopped it would lay across the headers and melt. Anyway it's made for either a flagpole or a wall. I paid nearly $30.00 with shipping and will take $25.00 cash. It's an official licensed product from SOA. So if your garage or man cave needs that final touch. Let me know? Terry

Thinking this might be a good Toyhauler for me....

No generator is not a problem but I would be very uncomfortable with a Salvage Title. Could be flood/water damage or was in a serious wreck. -

Adam, I don't think your going to find a front bedroom in a small trailer. they just don't make that floorplan as it takes up to much space. It may be worth a drive or if you want me to go look for you it will cost you a Pit Burger and Fries:) -
I think the key here is weight distribution and most importantly the proper tow equipment. Find a good equalizer hitch and sway bar(don't go cheap) buy the best you can afford. Make sure you have a brake controller that will handle up to 3 axles (if you have 3). And I would suggest air bags with an on board compressor set up for them. Being able to adjust the bags while underway is very helpful. And Pete is right, take your time drive the speed limit and keep your eyes open. Also the dunes aren't going anywhere and it's not a race to get there. Good luck and Happy Motoring!!

I have sold my race gas to a guy who lives about 1 1/2 hours from Rancho Cucamonga towards San Diego. If you have room and could haul 2x 55 gallon drums of fuel down and meet with the guy to transfer to I would be glad to kick some cash to you for gas and inconvenience. His hours of availability are after 6 at night or on the weekend, I have to go down next Thursday but he cannot meet me so anyone who could help would be appreciated. Let me know? Terry
