  1. I would agree Pete that the fifth wheel is the only way to go. Once you have that separate room you can never go back. Sure you give some space up but not much and it makes hooking and un-hooking so much easier. Tows better to. Terry
  2. I am listing these for a friend of mine who won these lights. He has no use for them so he is looking to sell them. They are $141.99 each list he will sell both for $240.00 + shipping from Las Vegas DOMINATOR HID 7" 35 watt SPOT Internal Ballast 6000 Kelvin color temp High impact ABS housing Durable Pyrex glass lens Gear wheel adjusting base with no-slip knurled finish Includes Logo black cover
  3. Yeah same with me. Have heard of problems usually on busy weekends but know on wood have never had an issue. I do lock all my stuff up at night though.
  4. If anyone feels like getting up a little early and helping out at registration it would be most appreciated. I will be moving things around about 07:30 and getting things set up. If your an early bird and want to help c'mon over it would be appreciated! Terry
  5. I appreciate the offer Bruce but if no one who comes out does not have one than I will just use the back of the truck. That way no having to worry about it getting there and back etc. I appreciate the offer though. Terry
  6. Pulled the M/H in this AM. Had to park at angle but all in all it was worth it. Cheaper prices and nice folks.
  7. I have an enclosed. If we don't come up with one I will just use the back of my truck.
  8. I have one speaker working perfectly and the other one is on it's way back from Audiovox as we speak. It should be back in time for my wife to bring it out. i would think the problem with adam's stuff (although I have not asked him) is the contact with sand is probably not what his equipment which he makes a living with is set up to endure. Also it is 110 volt and although we can find a gen to run it I think we will have our issue fixed even for the half impaired:)
  9. Anybody going to Dumont for the clean up that would have a flatbed trailer we could use for a few hours on Saturday? I am not taking mine so if anybody could allow us to use theirs it would be greatly appreciated. It will be parked and not moved and just used as a platform. Let me know? Thanks, Terry
  10. Apparently you took my post wrong, it was meant to hopefully wake some folks up about the fact that BLM maintains the Dumont Dunes OHV area at the request of the Federal government Interior dept. Right now there are no imminent threats to take the dunes away or stop usage However there are many who would love to do so. Only by FoDD and the sub-group and the great working relationship we have with BLM were we able to keep the fringe toed lizard from being put on the endangered species list. This was done by education of the users and creative fencing of areas that may have been a habitat. I know not everything is a bed of roses I am only stating that as in many things the minority do the work and the majority enjoy the fruit of there labors. I am not looking for a pat on the back or anything else like that. I am just saying that as users most would rather b*tch and moan about things then ask "How can we help and what needs to be done that we as duners can help with" Not trying to stir up any dust just answering a long standing issue. Ok I am done see you at the clean up and your right Pete, i need a sand fix really bad. I hope your coming out but I am defiantly looking for Lou, Randog etc for a fast ride. Got the engine rebuilt and I need to throw some sand!! Terry
  11. Randy, put me down for one of those please. my truck is a F-250 Thanks, Terry
  12. You might as well piss in the wind and tell your self it's raining. BLM owns the area and they are not going to give it up for any reason, unless we keep beating the sh*t out of it and not keeping it clean and the greenies decide to take a run at it. But then if they did that you would expect the BLM to defend it from them right? Cause we as users can't come together as a group to defend anything. I have been the President of Friends of Dumont dunes for 6 years and VP for another 2. In all that time I can count on one hand the amount of users who have come up and asked if they could get involved. They are now all Board of Directors. If your not willing to help, shut up and get out of our way while we try to accomplish what YOU are not willing to do!!
  13. I would be interested but I leave on Thursday for the clean up and have items and things to take care of before I go. If it was the week after I would be in. Timing just not right sorry.
  14. Shouldn't be an issue, I am coming in on Thursday and don't expect an issue. I will see if I can contact VBarstow BLM to clarify for you tomorrow.
  15. The clean up is SATURDAY only, the free weekend is both Sat & Sunday as long as you volunteer for the clean up and get a wristband.
  16. I am just reminding everybody that the only FREE weekend is next weekend the clean up weekend March 16/17th. I have been lucky enough to get some good raffle prizes this year, not as much as last year but some good ones none the less! Whoever has the T-SHIRT gun please contact me because if a certain vendor comes through we will have lots of shirts to shoot!!. Please let me know your coming out or I will have to start warming up my throwing arm. Registration starts at 8AM look for the registration booth near the dumpsters(well not to near:) See you then, weather looks pretty good for the weekend as of now. My suggestions are bring gloves maybe a small rake and a happy face we are doing good things!! Thanks to all in advance, Terry PS. We will be having the 50/50 drawing this year so bring a little cash with you if you can:)
  17. Just stopped in and filled up the Ford, It may be a tight fit on a big rig unless you come in from the pep boys side and get the first aisle Then you can exit straight out to Basic RD. I am going to take the M/H down in the AM and just have to wait to get that outside pump. I would scout it out before i went in with my big rig. I appreciate the break on fuel and the locally owned business will get my business every time.
  18. Why would you need diesel in your big a$$ trailer?
  19. I know it was tried a couple of years ago and the guy just couldn't make ends meet. Just an FYI
  20. I am just not going anywhere this post. It's becoming a facebook page
  21. More than likely people who "hate" law enforcement are people who have had negative contacts with them, I.E. have been arrested served time or are just generally on the wrong side. This is not intended to offend any one person. It is a generalization.
