Thanks for clearing that up Jim, haven't seen to much of that show. But people from Glamis are famous for dropping their M/H or trailer and then leaving it for a week so they will have a spot to come back to. Supposedly BLM tows them but I think that's a rumor that's spread every year to try to get people to quit doing that.

PACK IT IN AND PACK OUT TWICE AS MUCH

So the town you live in has a Police Officer on every corner and you have no crime where you live? I just put out a couple of options, you can do what ever you would like to do about it, b*tch and moan or see if you can find a ranger when you see someone packing up and leaving a pile of trash in the middle of camp. Watch how fast they get escorted back to pick it all up. -
Maybe they are used to going to Glamis and they are "Ghost" camping? :clown:

If you see them camped near you take a picture of their plate, the trash and forward it to Barstow BLM with a note that you would be able to testify and ID the suspect in court. It's a misdmeanor so it has to be observed by a LEO while in progress or a citizen's arrest which is where you would come in. make sure you can ID the driver of the vehicle or vehicles. That's just about the only way you can do it. You can always drive by their camp in your truck etc and stop and get out and take pictures. That usually scares the hell out of them and they pick up their sh*t before they go. -

Having two clean ups a year would not cure the problem It's an education and a sign of the times problem. I was not there but I understand comp hill was a disaster Sat. and Sun. morning of Halloween weekend. Bottles, cans, and all kinds of assorted disgusting stuff. I have quit going to comp hill at night in protest to what goes on over there. It is my way of saying I will NOT support the idiots that go over there to be"Seen" and carry on like out of control 2nd graders, So It's my way of protest as I have tried to get people to pick up their trash and as their drunk/stupid friends surround you and get in your face you realize that it's like talking to the living dead. I have put on the FODD clean up now for 8 years, don't think I have to many more in me so we are going to have to find someone to pick up the reigns and take it over very soon. I love that place like no other and it sickens me to see what these inconsiderate bastards have done to it. OK I am off my soap box for awhile. Keep it clean!! Terry -

It just seems that people will not learn. The more of this that goes on the harder it is to keep the areas open. I will never understand pigs and why they feel free to dump there stuff in our desert. Do they do the same thing at home or work? Hard to believe after 10 years of clean-ups that people are still not getting it. Can make it very frustrating to be on the other side. Terry -

See if you can get a better deal for 2 sets. I would like to get Gqrret a set up for his YFZ -
I think Razor road still has VP but you should call beforehand. I bought Sunaco 110 here in LV at the LOORS races at $9.20 per gallon. Bout gave me a heart attack. Check around your area for off road races like WORCS or LOORS. they always have VP and Sunoco trucks there. I can get you the # for the guy I buy from when he comes up here but he is based in Ca. and you may be able to hook up with him. Also you can call bruce at CBM in rancho Cucamonga. He has a hook up with F&L and sells it by the barrel at pretty much the normal going rate. Hope that helps.

I don't think you would be in the minority as far as being overweight goes. Most of us if weighed would be close or over in one way or another. It's what you feel safe with and what you can defend in court. I don't think 500 lbs is an issue either way. some ideas from google for you; http://gunn.canadianlisted.com/trailers-mobile-homes/sandpiper-27ft-5th-wheel-trailer-c-w-quad-rack_936740.html http://www.easymobilityco.com/ATV_tilt_a_rack.htm Also a thought, do you have anywhere in the trailer after you have everything loaded in which you could stand a quad up against the wall on it's back wheels and run a belly strap to te wall. Some E track would not look bad and can be very useful. Even if you could only squeeze one in you woud not have to be as concerned with weight as much on the back.

"temporary insanity" is normal for you I believe

Or you could get a stronger pair of glasses you old fart! Glad to hear your back up and running. I know how frustrating that can be.
-
yeah me to, no more crowds for me.

Friend of mine has a steel plate that he slides into a trailer hitch on the back of the trailer. He usually carries gas and a bar bq so no quads but with the right thickness of steel and support you could get at least one on I would think. What about putting the other in front of your slide in the truck?

I am out for the weekend. To much stuff to do around here and I am still trying to recover money wise from the last trip. Might have to look at 12-1 though.

I have camped at Dumont since 1975 and never have seen a snake. Scorpion and a desert rat but no snakes
-
Nope it wasn't but the worst part is the lungful of race gas fumes you get just before the gas hits your throat, nasty. Been along time since I had to resort to that method to obtain fuel. LOL!

Yeah I lost all my brake and turn signals on the way out. Then once I get to the dunes I find that the entire 12 volt system in my trailer has fried the wiring to the batteries down to the copper. No power to the winch which opens and closes a 300 lb door and no pump for fuel or power for lights etc. I find that the builder ran wire without protecting it and no in line fuses or fuse panels. So I couldn't get the car out without half the camps help every AM. And siphoning race fuel in the morning is a good way to lose your french toast and sausage breakfast. Made it home and got that all fixed to the tune of a lot of cash and also found that the M/H coolant resevior tank line to the radiator was not re-installed correctly last year when I had some major work done. Cummins of LV has it now and are at least repairing it for free. So slowly getting things back together and although the trailer manufactuer is going to help a little it took some pretty strong threats to get him to jump in. As the world turns i am just trying to hold the fk on!!!
