Tim, i am not letting the weather deter me but am trying to deter a sore throat etc from keeping me home. I will make the decision in the AM depending on how I feel. BTW I am ok on fuel right now, found some F&L here for a little more money per gallon but no core charge and I can pick it up when I need it. I do appreciate the offer though. So long story short Friday looks like the best day for duning so let's get together and do some sand punishment. I will be camped by # 9 as usual. Terry

Nope I wasn't but I do believe it rained during the week not over the weekend. So I am half right

I have been going to Dumont for 30 some years. in all that time i have seen it sprinkle but NEVER pour. I don't expect that it will be that bad and this site backs it up. http://www.accuweather.com/us/ca/shoshone/92384/forecast-weekends.asp

Can you make it look like a Vagina and a set of t*tties next year?

Just so you know although it is technically illegal to drive an OHV down the paved road to China ranch, the owner has no problem with it so the local leo's seem to overlook it. He sits on the Sub-group and is pretty much a greenie but he sure supports off roaders when he is making money off of them. Other wise I wouldn't say he is on our side.

I try to use Sunoco or F&L. Haycock was over $9.00 per gallon on 110 Sunoco last time I called and I can get a barrel of F&L for about $350. per 55gals. No place in Vegas to get good race fuel without bending over first. Phoenix is the best deal but I don't know of anybody coming up that way.
-
I was wondering if anybody has room and the time to pick up a barrel or even 2 of racing fuel in Rancho Cucamonga at CBM and bring it to Dumont over the Presidents day weekend? I would pre- pay the fuel and help with some cash for your effort and extra weight. Let me know if it's a possibility and I will see if Bruce can acquire some fuel for me. Thanks, Terry

Anyone want to take an educated guess?

Ahhh quit your bitchen old man. Maybe you should stop at the entrance of the dirt road and put on a Kidney Belt and maybe a helmet just in case the bumps cause you to have a seizure? -
It is a free weekend. There has been some discussion about handing out wrist bands to those that sign up and help and if you don't have a wrist band then you would need to purchase a pass. haven't decided on that yet will soon.

Thanks Stacey!

I used to have VW rails in the day but sold my last one to a local mechanic. He promptly took it out to Dumont and found a bowl he liked and did continuous circles around it until the side of the motor on the "uphill" side went away. they don't feed oil upwards for to long so just kinda keep that in mind.

First off replace them all, if 2 are an issue the rest will join them at the most unfortunate place and time. I went to Goodyear Marathon's and am happy with them on my flatbed which weighs 3500# empty. I have Firestone's on my enclosed trailer and they were also on my stacker and have had no issues with that brand also. But I did learn a long time ago that when tire on a trailer comes apart, replace them all!

as soon as the alarm resets or is shut off the brakes unlock. If the alarm is re tripped(in other words they try to move it again the brakes will re lock) I won't discuss reset time on here but if your interested PM me. it is a 12 volt battery alarm system. terry

Speaking of trailer alarms I have one alarm system left that is specifically designed to keep trailers safe. Comes with a motion detector, door switches, wireless keyfob, siren and the ability to set off the lights, siren and lock the trailer brakes. I was selling these for $300.00 but would let this last one go for $175.00

I would call Marvin Shaw shocks. they should be able to tell you the exact length you need for your combo.

We were just talking about how getting old was a b*tch and i was just helping you thru the transition, jeez you are so sensitive:). You hauler is always clean but I have actually seen people wax their coach's without washing them first. I just didn't want you going down that road, you know with your sudden realization that you were getting older as evidenced by only doing one side of the coach. LOL it doesn't get any sun? roflmao, great excuse for my shoulders hurt and this job sucks right? You have to remember that it oxidizes due to the greenhouse gas effect from all those off road vehicle motors we hang around. You missed some of the best runs I have ever been on, and that's no BS

Well this weekend is the weekend that we all hope we will get when we load up and make the trip. Anybody that had the chance and didn't go missed a fantastic weekend of both great weather, small crowd and although the dunes were a little rutted it certainly didn't stop us from some fast runs. My thanks to Mr. McGyver(LOU) for making me a better than original bracket for my alternator. Nice to not only have the tools and supplies but the knowledge to put it all together and make it work in one try. Many thanks again Lou. then Lou busted a micro stub this morning and he had the parts, tools and we replaced it and were back duning in less than 40 minutes. That was so cool! We had a very fast ride this morning and to the group that was taking a break and we went by and apparently I roosted them my humble apologies. It was not intentional, it was just part of a hot run. Jumped into another group of cars and tried to get around their back 2 cars which were separating quickly from their crowd but it just became unsafe when Lou and I about traded paint jobs so we went off our own and had a ball. To the guy in the monster car you need to find the right pedal, all that motor and no where to go. Met some new people in camp and they are welcome back anytime. Nice company and great relaxed camp. That's my story, no pictures as I was to busy having fun to take any. Terry

You know of course that you have to wash and dry it first right? I would also get a roof cleaner and a soft bristle brush and wash the roof first. If you don't all the dirt on the roof will cause black streaks on your newly washed and waxed trailer. Now get busy while I go play in the sand. If you get real good at it I have a job for you when I get back:)

ok john we will see you when we see you. I am sending you my ph number via PM if you need help in locating us. Even if you don't have Verizon text messaging usually works:)
-
we will be looking for you what type of vehicles are you coming in? We are usually directly north/north west of # 9 by about 200 yards or so on top of the little ridges.

Not at all, I found it is a great way to meet new people. If we don't like you we hold a tribe council and your light is turned off:) please feel free to join us. Todd also has a RZR S and will love having someone in camp to go out for a ride with. Terry
