Thanks Pete, I appreciate that:)

I have to thank Julie so much for helping with the receivables. I found the slip of paper in my sweatshirt as I was unloading so She had to recount due to my misplacing the paper. She was a huge help and I can't thank her enough. Along with all who helped, volunteered and assisted.

I must have fallen from their contact list. but it's good news so I don't mind.

This is not a free weekend. The only one that BLM allows is the clean up as it is a benefit (volunteer hours) to them and FoDD and the dunes area. Sorry you will have to buy a pass but we are glad your coming out. Should be nice weather, good people and great sand, what could anyone ask for, unless it was a Royal Flush:) Terry

A buddy of mine lives out by the Mt. Charleston exit. He says the distance is longer but the time is shorter through Indian springs, Lathrop wells and then over. Says it's an easier drive also

I have been in Champion several times and bought a few parts. The guys (owner) attiude towards Dumont users sucks though. He thinks all the Dumont users are stupid drunks (his words not mine) Guy really turned me off and when I tried to explain what DDr and FoDD were doing to alter the perceptiuon that it's a party place and that it's by far more a family place he turned around and walked away from me. I thought he was rude and I won't go there for parts anymore.

Congratulations! Can't be a better feeling than seeing something that you thought you had lost forever coming toward you. I am very happy for you. Terry

My suggestion would be go back out tomorrow and take a squeaky toy and drive around the river, canyons and flats. You might get lucky as we have seen it happen before. Don't wait there are coyotes and other predators in the area and sooner or later unless someone has grabbed him up you will lose him. Not meaning to be cruel I would be totally freaked if either one of my dogs were lost but facts are facts. Best of luck.

Got in Thursday night about 7PM and set up, relaxed and a few beers until midnight. Woke up and found a whole city had sprouted all around us. I thought there were more people than last year by a long shot and BLM said they were surprised by the turnout. Apparently they had a fatality Thursday night/Friday AM. It was not vehicle related but its always sad to hear of a loss at the dunes no matter how it happens. My thoughts go out to the family and friends. Sat. morning we woke up to a strong wind and a whiteout. Right about 9:00 it flattened out and we were good for the whole day. Caught up with the DDR crew and had a great ride until we stopped for a break only to find out that I couldn't get out of my seatbelt. Needed a screw driver to pry the locking bar up. When we went to take off the belt wouldn't snap and lock into position so I cruised back to camp for a little cleaning and getting the sand out of the latch. Took a friends , friend for a late ride at dusk and he was really stoked at his first sand rail ride. After casing a 100' jump on his 2 wheeler his statement was" Now I see why people buy sand rails" It is always fun to introduce people to a fun ride on the dunes. Stopped by Pete's camp and went out for a short ride and photo shoot of Bert's beautiful car and family this morning. Then over to comp where Pete got some really cool shots of my car going up comp caching some air. Something it does not do very often. Can't wait to see them posted up. Road in was great and the Sheriffs kids training class was a nice addition for the kids on a great Halloween weekend. Again my thanks to the Blm,San Bernardino sheriffs and all others who were out there for our protection and fun. I thought the dunes had lot's of trash on them for so early in the season and comp had a little less mess than usual so maybe our message is getting through somewhere. Looking forward to the poker run see you then! Terry

we will be camped just south of bath #9 2 fifth wheels one with a red ford and the other one is another ford(unk. color) a big weekend warrior fifth wheel pulled by a white dodge and my white motorhome and enclosed trailer also white. We are pretty easy to see once you find #9 just look towards the canyon and you will run into us about 200-500 feet towards the canyon.

Jill, I highly recommend Dr. John Thalgott. He testified in the medical Mafia as a government witness. He is the one that told the feds what was going on. He has taken great care of me and without his talents I wouldn't be moving around. His number is 878-8370 600 S. Rancho dr. Great Doc and really caring staff. i

Weekend before Halloween we will be there come ride

Well it was a great weekend. Weather was great and wind every night late to clean the dunes up.Went on a nice run sat afternoon with Sobek72 and a few of his quad buddies and had a nice run Coming back through Talladega I noticed my Ipod sounding weird and my lights getting dim, so I shut everything electrical off and got it back to the trailer. I looked in the engine compartment and found the alternator laying on the cross member. It had sheared a grade 8 bolt off and fell down on the frame. Got lucky and a buddy had a bolt we made work for a nice run today but it's off to McFadden-Dale this week for a stainless steel bolt. Didn't take any pictures so don't ask but Sobe was using his Go Pro and will post it up. It was nice meeting him and his crew and it was a great weekend. Now to get ready for next weekend and right back out punishing the sand. Terry -
Get a stout piece of lumber, like a 4x4 etc. Place it along the outside of the rim. Drive your car, truck up onto the piece of the lumber and it will separate the wheel from the tire. You may have to back up and move the board to the other side of the rim to get completely off but it does work. Helps if you have a friend to guide you. Or you can just take them to a tire shop.

Got your E Mail after I got back so no pictures. I took one book apart and removed what was in it and put it back. The other one was almost full so I will forward it and the pages to you this week. You or somebody need new books and the lettering is very faded so it will need a tune up this year as far as that goes. I am sure someone at the Halloween meet and greet will get a pic for you. Sounds good my car looks just like this inc. the old man! -
This looks like Bob after a cpl cocktails and walking up to the campfire and stepping on a hot coal! Maybe he will invest in some shoe boxes this year, those are probably the only thing that would fit those Fred Flintstone feet! BB you better show up with a car on Hallowen!

Anytime Bud!
