ive been on limewire for like 4 years without a bad download. you have to know how to look for the music tho, cause there is some crap that you dont want to download...like make sure it has a bitrate, a filesize, and how fast the download is (t3 or higher, ti, dialup, etc)

actually just got off of it last night with some new e 40

Ya bunch of Friggin" Thieves. I hope you all get a virus that will only let your computer play Mexican and Elevator music.

Better yet Mexican elevator music, with a little chanting added in. :mex::dunno:

:beercheers:

I will take this as a Compliment. :blah::blah::blah: .Elevator music sounds better than nothing :slap::thumb:

i do use limewire time to time but I have to say that 1 out of 4 times is a virus.

I still use it knowing that I just make sure to do a full sweep when I am done and only use a crappy laptop I don't care much about (unless it has a virus of course).

Because Lime Wire is share site. You don't have to pay for it, it comes from someone else's shared folder and the download is free. So the artist, publishers, writers, etc. don't get any money from the transaction.

This is one of the reasons Virus are so prevalent on these kinds of site. Downloading shared music has the highest rate of viruses. Downloading porn is the second worst.

I use iTunes. I pay .99 per song. No biggie to me.

Hey how do i save the songs to a cd. :dunno:

Once you have the music downloaded to your computer you can burn a CD by using Windows Media Player if your computer has a CD writer. Pretty simple even for an old guy! :thumb:

In some cases you can even download the music directly to a CD by using SAVE AS and saving to a CD. :beercheers:

I cant get all the files visable even with my 2 22" wide screens. There is roughly 12,000 on one of my drives and a few hundred on another. And I havent downloaded any in at least 3-4 years!

Sorry for the large pics as I really did NOT feel like changing my resolution :hello:

This second image is from the wifes pc.... and yes you can see she likes that country :poop: She has roughly 3000. All in all I think we have 60/70 gigs worth of tunes :)

I've been downloading using bit-torrents for years. I use Piratebay.org as my main search for torrents. To download bit torrents you have to first download a bit-torrent program. I actually used bit-torrent for years, but recently switched over to a different program (I can't remember the name for crap right now). Additionally, if any of you down load via a peer to peer system I suggest downloadign a program called peer guardian 2 to run while downloading. PG2 helps interupt the man from tracking your downloads, but like anything on the internet it's not 100% to block the likely hood of you getting busted.

I have roughly 630 Gig of music (not a typo) mosstly mp3, but some other formats as well. I have plenty of duplicates and such as I have never fully sorted my music. I usually share with folks and ask that they share in return, so until I sort it I'll never know for certain how much I have. I venture to say I have closer to 600G once sorted. I use a program called media monkey to load music to ipod and cd's so I never have to worry it finds the music for me instead of digging through all my files to find one song for a play list.

At any rate I have a 1TB external with my music on it. I'm very weary about loaning the drive out to folks, but if you would like to share some maybe we can work it out some night.

My music consist mostly of Rock, Classic Rock, RnB, Blues, Hip Hop, Country, some Hard Rock, Top 40's, some Alternative, some Punk/Ska/Shyscobilly, and some rockabilly. If any of you have something particular you're looking for I could probably just put it on a DVD for you and bring it to the next DDR event I may attend or maybe even drop it off with Pete.

At any rate, I have lots of music. Shoot me a message if I can help with your collection.
