Summer Projects

I just picked up a nice little project for the summer yesterday. It's an A+ rolling chassis. Been on the lookout for one for a while now. So along with cleaning out the garage, I'll be busy building a regatta weapon.

How about everybody else? Anything exciting? I'm thinking that some build threads might be interesting reading for the summer...

I will be doing some honey doo's that I avoided during the last several dune seasons. Between Idaho, Oregon and Dumont I have really neglected some things on our 25 year old home. This depends on how long it takes me to get the rail ready for some duning. Motor needs work, shifter needs fine adjustments. Who knows it may be next year when I do what I'm suppose to..........At my age, who needs sex, meals cooked, laundry done, and all those other things wives are suppose to do while we play?????

Besides swapping a radiator in the rail, I'm probably switching things up a bit with a fifth wheel soon, and selling my bus :driver: . Other than that, probably going to be getting my schtuff together around the house. Paint, new roof, broken A/C, etc. I'm planning on installing some solarpowered LED lights in the back yard, and with irrigation, landscaping, and maybe a deck off the back of the house. Having completed the playland thing, I bought a curbing machine, and laid down about 80 feet so far,but I need to wrap up the rest of the place already. Here is a pic of my Christmas time project:

I suppose if I finish the yard, it'll mean no more 3 wheelie shananigans :dope: That's a demotivational thought

  • 1 year later...

After 11 years, we finally tackled our kitchen. I started in June, doing everything myself after work, except the countertops, and just wrapped it up... Only took me 2 1/2 months :P

We decided to raise the ceiling, which made the project a lot bigger !

At this point, my wife starts wondering if I know what I'm doing :P

We upgraded to SS appliances, and opted for a no touch faucet.

I had to recess the outlets in the backsplash for a cleaner look. I've got the LED accent lighting in, and we are finally done! It was a lot of work, but I enjoyed it! We are hanging decor today, and moving the table out of the living room !!!
