dunefreak
I'm stoked! There a few really good bands this year. Roger Waters , Portishead, JACK JOHNSON , the Verve, SLIGHTLY STOOPID!! , Fat Boy Slim ..and LOTS of bands I have no idea who they are but that is half the fun of it- discovering some very unique badass bands. Anna and I hit up Coachella a few years ago and it was a blast. Back then it was Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blur, Blue Man Group, Beasties, Queens of the Stone Age, Dirty Vegas, G Love, etc.

Richard Cheese
the breeders is an all girl band from the 90s that had a hit "cannon ball" madness is a ska band from the 80's with hits like "our house" and "one step beyond" Kraftwerk is a techno band that has been around since the early mid 80's...i have their electric cafe CD, and use it to fine tune sounds in stereo systems with..pretty good CD .... i think love and rockets were an "alternative" band back in the 80's too..... damn i feel old i saw Gogol Bordello on the henry rollin show on tv a couple months ago...very unique sound with multiple instruments... This year's lineup is awesome. The best I have seen so far. I wish I could go all three days but I don't think it's really a place for pregnant chicks. Fast Machine
In addition to the concert prices, local hotels also jack their prices up. When we went it was $200/night to stay in a MOTEL. In Coachella! The middle of the desert!! And we had to fight the front desk because they gave our room away but I had the reservation confirmation number in my hand. I would suggest booking a room early if you are going to need one. It was an expensive trip but worth every penny.
