  1. How far is it from the dunes?? I hear that the Indian Reservation somewhere out there is the best place to get them...But I've never been to Pahrump so I dunno? I also come from the south on i15 so I've never been beyond the dunes. Anyhow, do any of you know how far it is from the dunes, and if it's worth the drive to look for the indian reservation? I don't really plan on using them in Dumont, more so in Glamis whenever I get the chance to get out there :freakin_nuts: .
  2. So I've been hearing a lot about how the road is just gravel and not true pavement??? Please fill me in??? Has this recycled asphalt been put back into it's original (15fwy) state? True asphalt??
  3. After breaking down many times, needing tows all the way home from the dunes I decided to quit duning my tow vehicle!
  4. Yes, that's exactly my thought too!! Put honey, sugar, or a good dose of diesal in it!
  5. Yeah, if you were really excited then it might possibly be fun to put up (for the 1-2 time per/year duner)...what would be more exciting is bringing it down after the end of the weekend Now that's a JOKE!
  6. Hey that's nice gotboost! is that a 30 foot???
  7. YES INDEED. I did have the furnace/heater on all evening @ 73f. I turned it on from sundown til the morning around 10 am. Still wondering if it was a freeze up or a problem with my pump, but it's the first and last time it's ever happened. The evening low was around 20f. or so, that's what leads me to believe it froze. I'll look into the heaters and insulation, I believe more so for the freshwater lines/hoses since those probably freeeze up first
  8. I was in Dumont last mlk weekend and saturday night my water lines froze up (or which I believe they did since they started working fine hours later). Have any of you experienced this issue???? And what do you do to help prevent it??? :chev_bowtie: I have a 23ft. attitude toyhauler.
  9. I will be there mlk weekend, Sat-Mon., See ya guys around the hill!! :assrock:
  10. It may not be Kelso dunes but Kelso looks like a great place to ride!! From my knowledge, the fine for trespassing on gov't/private property in CA is currently $250.00, and that's if the officer decides to ticket you. And of course if you get caught I doubt you will get caught?? Since nobody rides there anymore, And if you do decide, it hasn't been a repetitive issue out there so you probably don't have much to worry about. B) Just let me know how it goes!!!!!?
  11. I'm definately ready for Banshee wars !!
  12. I got the 37" xterrains, no complaints so far!? Ran good in the sand too with very low pressure!
  13. An extended warranty on a toyhauler?? yeah they're online like you said, but I don't think they're worth the money, personally, since there's no drivetrain...the most expensive issue would probably be the generator or ac unit, but still it's all up to you? Just my $.02
  14. I have also heard that leaving in a small amount of bleach at all times will not hurt, and it keeps the smell, etc away. Will not harm you and may not even be able to smell it. Also, I don't know how well this works, but I've also heard to leave the freshwater drain outlet cracked open when storing the hauler?? keeping it dry?
  15. A generator All the way!!! :shocked2: A power inverter will drain your batteries down way to fasst...well at least if you have one big enough to power tv's etc (which would be like a 1500 watt inverter) Unless you plan on hooking your truck up to the trailer plug and letting that run, charging your batteries while you use your inverter. Otherwise, I would not recommend it.
