We will be there if I can finish putting my 5th wheel back together this weekend.

I just got back and was there since Wednesday. Sand was awesome. I got a lot of seat time in the buggy (went through 60 gallons of fuel). I hardly took any pictures but here is a couple I think it was thursday or friday, these guys buzzed the camp site and it was so loud. They came back a second time and I had my camera ready. These were right before one of them banked it straight up vertical. One of the guys I go camping with a bunch is into remote controlled gas helicopters. He brought a bunch of his friends that compete in Helicopter events. We got to watch them fly all weekend. Took a couple of pics of them showing off their skills

The 2nd Pic, the Iota is your 110 to 12 volt convertor to charge your batterys when plugged in to shore power or generator. So that sounds like you can eliminate that since it is chargeing when plugged in to shore power or generator. The 3rd Pic is the 110 volt breaker panel to the left and the 12 volt fuses on the right and if all your lights are working that all seems good to go too. To me, that all looks good in both those pictures and wired correctly. And doing the job as intended. The first pic ....Is that in the engine compartment? IF you pull the fuse for the solar panel fuse and put your meter (set to DC) on the primary side and the black lead (from the meter) to chassis ground, your getting 21 volts? I dont have a solar panel but would assume it would be in the 12-13 volt range coming off the solar panel since it is only used to charge the battery. Also wondering what the auxilary switch is for? Do you have a separate battery to start the motorhome engine and a separate battery to run the lights in the coach? If you switch the "auxilary" switch and it stops charging, I am wondering if that could possibly be the battery disconnect switch. If you flip that auxillary switch and are unplugged from shore power & generator power, do you have any interior lights?

These videos take forever to upload. This one was Banshee Wars 1 which I think was 2004 or 05. LC Performance won it all on a 4 Mil Superior motor. I dont think he got beat all day. He even raced it in the 10 mil class and won that too. This was the 10 mil open class finals

I use to shoot a bunch of videos out at Dumont. Just going through them and uploading them now. Pete's gonna give me a hard time of my music choices on some of the older ones but some are 10 years old. Here is one from 2005 (from Banshee Wars 1) Guy blows up his Banshee at the starting gate and I did a little slow motion zoom technique on it to show the rod coming through the bottom of the case. These guys were hitting 90 mph on Banshee Hill.

Sounds good Terry. We are pulling in wednesday night and will be next to Bathroom 11. I found that to be pretty hard pack there so I wont get stuck. Will be with my regular camping buddys so there will be 5 rails. We will stop by to kidnap you for some rail rides. Rob

We are headed out the weekend before Halloween. Just curious if anyone else is going out that weekend.

Dang there goes the diet. I won't be able to hold back with that menu.

I have been in some winds at Dumont before and wondered if our trailer was going to tip over. My wife once asked if it was gonna tip over one night in a really bad wind storm. I told her not to worry until she feels the tires lift on one side Looking at those pictures, it looks like the trailer was not connected at the hitch and was standing on the front lift supports. The king pin on the trailer is still intact and the hitch itself is still intact. Just wondering if it had been connected, if it would of blown the truck over also? Or prevented it from tipping. I always leave the trailer connected for that reason. I still wouldn't want to be in a trailer in 110 mph gusts either way.

That was a lot of fun. Had a chance to meet a bunch of new good people. Got a chance to get some more seat time in on the new buggy. On the "bright" side.....It's a full moon weekend

Gonna roll out wednesday afternoon. I will pre inspect all the sand to make sure its all in place before everyone arrives.

How many are you running? I have put together a plan for an inverter installation and am trying to calculate how many 6 volts Im gonna need.

Lee Ive had more time to think about this. The isolation switchs make sense and are inexpensive. The bigger Xantrex's are pretty pricey and the standalone auto transfer switches are also pricey. I have 4-15 amp circuits on my fuse box that I wanted to isolate out on the inverter. Just debating if I should go with individual isolation switches or go with a larger ganged one (one switch controlling all 4 fifteen amp circuits). That way I could just switch it back to shore/genset, fire the generator to start the re charging. Did you add a battery volt meter to the inside of your RV to monitor battery levels?

A friend of mine pulled doubles out to Dumont for years. He had a Dmax, 5th wheel and 20 foot enclosed behind that. It put a lot of strain on the middle 5th wheel. He would blow tires until he flipped the axles and put 16 inch tires on the trailer. Then he bent the back bumper so he had to send it in to be welded for reinforcement. When you look at his 5th wheel now, it looks tweeked. Just dont think they were designed for that. They are not built like a commercial truck trailer. Maybe look at a big stacker type configuration.

That weekend is looking good to start off the season for us.

I think the biggest perk is having having 24 hour a day Concierge Services. You can pick up the phone tell them you want to fly out at a certain time, tell them you want 2nd row seats to a UFC event or concert, have them make you dinner reservations, order transportation, yada yada yada... They take care of the whole thing. Its like having a personal assistant.

Congrats Paul ! That design looks like it would work really well with the front tires. Taking the tounge weight off the hitch. Let us know how it tows.
