That was one of the busiest weekends I have seen out there in many years. It was a good time and got to camp with a big group of great people. Had a chance to meet some new people that I had not met yet. Saturday my cv boot came off and Bert saved my weekend again by taking it all a part to get the sand out and put it back together. Thank you again Bert! The road in and out was the best I have ever seen it! A++++ I took a ton of pics and videos but probably won't get a chance to get to them for a couple of days. We actually got to meet him about 6 years ago. We raced comp hill with him for an hour on the banshees. Sat around and talked at the bottom of comp. Seemed like a real kicked back nice guy.

In California its the same rules for Class C. But they have a Trailer endorsement that allows you to tow a 5th wheel with a GVWR of up to 15,000 lbs. The endorsement test is a 20 question multiple choice test and is free to take at any California DMV.

Xmas weekend was a lot of fun. Was out there for 6 days and it was not very crowded at all. The nights were quite chilly but it was a really relaxing trip. We got quite a few rides in with Mike and Jodi and that was a blast. I did not take a single picture, guess I was in vacation mode. I did shoot some video footage of Mike xmas day playing in the rail over by Banshee hill. Here it is. I think it is rather interesting how these new DSLR's coming out have the video capture option on them. Canon and Nikon have headed down this direction making these new cameras Dual purpose (still and video HD capture). I am old school and would rather have a high quality still camera for great picture taking and a high quality video camera to shoot video. They really are set up quite differently. But with the high quality glass on the still cameras, the picture quality is there for video also. Anyways I ran across these guys (which I have no affiliation with what so ever) and found that some of their aftermarket products quite interesting. Just thought I would share with the other DSLR peeps. It kind of gives you a sense of what the engineers at Nikon and Canon see as there future product vision. Check these couple demos out of what you can add to these cameras to make them video useable. Im sure other companies have products like this also. Its just the first time I have seen these. Ham Radio band or non Ham Band? Looks like Pahrump has 4 in the Ham bands and there is one on top of Potosi Mountain. That one might have line of sight to Dumont.
