  1. Presidents Day Weekend 08 Dumont Dueling Wheelies
  2. Its not really portable for just riding around. If your going out this weekend I can shoot some pics of you jumping your rail.
  3. I have a Canon 30d. Its kinda like a paparrazi camera because it can rapid shoot a bunch of frames in a row quickly. All you have to do is try and keep the subject centered in the frame. Shoot with a bunch of different lens but really like this 70-200mm lens. The lens does have image stabilization for the action shots. Couple samples
  4. LCD's are light weight. I installed a 32". Permanent wall mount unit. For the price, I think the Visio LCD's are pretty good. They make them as small as 20".
  5. I think they are all pretty good Dune Bikes. I bought the Suz LTR 450 and love it for duneing. Sits low and wide and just rails on the tight technical type dune rides. Front end stays down most of the time and you can just pin it coming out of turns. I ride my Banshee for racing comp hill and ride my Suzuki for duneing.
  6. Im going one of these for the next truck to pull the 5th wheel
  7. Not sure who these shots are of. They were jumping where our group was jumping xmas week 2007 at Dumont. They gave me their email addy to email them but I didnt have a pen to write it down and I forgot it. Maybe they are members on here and can see it.
  8. Was there all week from Xmas eve on. Was crazy windy xmas eve but the sand was sooo smooth xmas day. Here are some pics
  9. Bah Humbug Clinton. We need another California guy in there like Reagan.
  10. It did kind of feel like 7 years back. Was quiet till 7 in the morning. Wasn't that dusty or crowded. Duneing was excellent. Some areas chopped up but most of the dunes were pretty good. I did not see a single ranger or helicopter all weekend. Here is some pics I took.
  11. http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/0711...mars-dunes.html How about this for a big sand bowl

    fires

They just let everyone back into our neighborhood. Think they are calling it the Castaic Fire or the Hasley Canyon fire. No lives lost. 4 homes were lost. Here were some pics. http://web.mac.com/thrillseeker2005/Site/M...staic_Fire.html
  13. sounds like you welded the clutch push rod to the ball bearing. Easy to fix. Go to www.whiteknuckleracing.com search for "Banshee Clutch Disengagement Adjuster" its like a 49 dollar part. and then get the ceramic bearing.
  14. And lose your lights for night riding?
  15. Go with the Dyna. They work great. Also buy the software option for your computer so you can program your own advance curves. The stock ones from dyna are kinda lame.

    IMA RACIST!

    Was this one of them?
  17. California also has a 'trailer endorsement" which allows you to pull a trailer up to 15,000 lbs. You have to take a non -commercial A written test and pass. But you are not required to take the driving test. That is the only difference between the class C trailer endorsement and the non commercial A. It is free. http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/dl648/dl648pt5.htm
  18. It all depends on you and if you like to wrench. You can build a gas Banshee to run 70 mph up comp hill and dune all day long with it. But it requires constant wrenching to keep it running like that. Re jetting every trip (and sometimes daily), keeping your chain well maintained, monitoring tire pressure daily, fudging with computer ignition advances, cleaning carbs and filters every trip, etc, etc, etc. If you dont want to put the time in or dont enjoy doing that then I wouldnt go that route.
  19. What is the possibility of a private investment group coming in and purchasing the land from the government? Dumont could be the ultimate off-road playground. These issues of waste dumping, litter, dust control, etc would be easily handled if it were under private ownership. You don’t see these types of problems at major theme parks. Nor do you see them at private camping grounds or even ski resorts. Just a thought..
  20. Still got my Banshee. Ill ride it......break it...... fix it ..... till the day I give up riding.
  21. Might want to try one of these for $20 and an hour of work. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/dirt-cheap-...bayphotohosting
