  1. I just built it.literally finished it at tuned it today..
  2. Not building a hillshooter, this is a +3, +4 Long travel Raptor 700...And I would love to see you make a Banshee run like this Raptor does with zero port work, on the stock bore and stroke on gas...To each his own I guess..If you are a Banshee guy then thats your thing..I like 4 strokes and thats my thing.
  3. Mike's Raptor 700R Bolt On + Piston 64hp/49TQ...Build Consists of...MSD Blaster, Hotcam Stage 3 Cam, DMC Force 4 Duals, FCI Intake, Racers Edge +3 Throttle Body, Racers Edge 14:1 Stockbore Piston, High Desert Dyno HD Clutch Springs...Built by me, Tuned by TJ at Pure Evil...Not bad for no head work at all..

  5. Link to Service Manual Download http://www.trx450r.org/forum/93-engine/115544-trx450r-online-reference-materials-servicemanuals.html If you arent on trx450R.org I would sign up...Its been around a long time and has alot of info
  6. I think you have pretty much covered everything there is to cover with the carb...4 strokes arent THAT sensitive to where it will run like what you are describing with just a minor jetting issue...Sounds electrical...Could be a ground like mentioned before...My YFZ a long time ago would start right up, idle great, but as soon as I would get past 1/2 throttle it would start cutting out bad. It was the pick up on the stator..I replaced the entire stator and pick up and it ran perfect...If you changed the jetting I would put it back to the way it was the last time it ever ran perfect...Look in your TRX manual if you have one..You can test the pick up with a Ohm meter and make sure its good..I bet its the stator pickup..Could also be the flywheel if you used a Trailtech aftermarket flywheel...Maybe even the CDI...Try one thing at a time..I would suggest getting the manual..Even go on over to TRX450R.org Most ATV specific Forums have PDF downloads for the repair manuals...I would check the stator pickup first though and go from there..
  7. Pretty sure its sold...Supposed to drop it off in Barstow Monday...

  17. I will be there too...Thinking of going friday and coming back Saturday night
  18. I will come find you saturday morning..Stop by and visit
  19. Agreed...But aside from that stuff...TJ did an AWESOME job on the tuning/mapping...You can tell he has really refined his EFI tuning skills Im very happy with the job TJ/Pure Evil did on my Raptor
  20. Yeah I will be out for the day Saturday. I hope it runs good.We will see.Last time I was at TJ's dyno I left feeling pretty disappointed..Its not easy making good numbers on that dyno.By the way congrats on the win in Glamis!
  21. I finished up my rebuild with my raptor and hit the dyno monday. I ended up doing a 734cc big bore with a +6 swingarm. The stockbore build prior to this made 72hp and 48tq but at the FSA Race last month the screw that holds the butterfly on my throttle body backed out and fell in the topend of my brand new stockbore build .So I decided to go a little bigger. TJ at Pure Evil did a great job making me a new map with a real nice curve. Check it out...Looking forward to Thanksgiving
  22. Those engines are super easy to work on.Here is a link from ebay... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/110cc-head-base-gasket-fit-1P52FMH-series-engine-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem1e5c206ad7QQitemZ130394647255QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories If you are slightly mechanically inclined you can do it yourself. The cam stays in the head//You take those 4 bolts off on the top, Take off the cam gear, and remove the head..Replace the gasket, line up the marks on the fly wheel with the marks on the case, line up the mark on the cam gear with the mark on the head, and torque everything back down. Here is a video from youtube.... Watch this video and you will see how easy it is..I was surprised how simple it is..I put a bigbore on my daughters quad.
  23. Its not bad at all. It was a high comp single ring piston. It wasnt going to last forever. I tore it down today and ordered a new piston and gaskets
  24. I cant go..The Raptor was smokin like a diesel on the dyno monday. I think it needs new rings. On a side note,it made good horspower for a Cummins Raptor 700 It sucks but I dont want to take it out and make it worse.
