I'm curious to find out the outcome of the proposal to have the prisoners do road clean-up after the big holiday weekends in conjunction with CDOT. BRILLIANT idea there Terry!!! I'm having a blonde moment and don't recall any discussion about the fines (tickets) and where that $$$ goes to. :dance: Looks like I have an agenda of my own and need to figure out a way to make it to this meeting!!

Silly me, here I thought we were discussing the "grated" road into Dumont. My bad. A day spa would be nice, always chip at least one fingernail while camping......oh, and a massage after a long day of duning would always be a nice addition!!

That's funny, Davey and I were just talking about this over dinner tonight! Keeping fingers crossed it stays a bit chilly for the clean-up this year. The kids start Spring vacation the 15th, so we hope to make it a loooooonnnnnngggggg weekend, but don't want to hybernate with the A/C all afternoon(s).

FINALLY rolled in about 7:00 tonight.....looooong ride home! Hit the road about 2:30, rained on and off from Shoshone till home, so took it pretty easy. Stopped in Tecopa to dump, and since no one was there, I walked across the street to pay our "dues". The guy, you know the one on the golf cart, gave me the grand tour of the gift shop and proceeded to tell me about how much they like us "dune riders" coming to town to dump, visit the shop, yadda yadda yadda. Oh, and all they wish for us is safe dune trips and a safe ride home. Too bad he hasn't mentioned THAT to BLM. Stopped in Pahrump for fuel and a bite to eat, and now unloaded and the laundry started. Whatta chore!! But it was all well worth it, AWESOME weekend, weather held out til late last night, not a DROP of rain 'til 11:30pm.! Other than our heater not working <thanks Pete, I think we are jinxed with the same problem you have had> everything else went off without a hitch. No injuries, no blow outs, or ups for that matter, just tired and sore from tearing up the sand!! Took bunches of pictures and Davey should have time to upload them tomorrow. So for now, 'nuff said!

YEPPERS!! Shouldn't be bad, not expected til Saturday....I'll take the rain over 50mph winds anytime!!

My son's D-Max 4x4 pulled this beast (both parts, still connected ) out of the sand when we got stuck headin' into Dumont Tday weekend. You make the call.

coming from a guy who's been a member for less than a month!! That road is like velvet compared to the road into the Logandale trails! 3½ miles and at LEAST 30 minutes to drive it. I consider ourselves lucky for the improvements done so far!

I vote YES.....let BLM deal with the strippers and poles however they want to!! (My suggestion, boot them out AND revoke their pass)
