We had issues with the camp racers this past weekend also, and we camp waaaaay far away from the normally high-traffic areas!! A friend in our camp was awakened by a rail (1:00 a.m.) speeding behind his motorhome, said he looked out his window and the guy had to have been a foot away from his rig. To make matters worse, there was a truck in pursuit hauling a flatbed trailer that blew by right after him. When he says a foot, I believe him 'cause his rig was on the backside of our circle, literally parked on the brim of the bluffs. We witnessed many a quad and bike fly by and most of them were definately within the 50ft. range! What can we do?!? Take it into our own hands when feasible. Late Sat. afternoon we had these two guys roll up in a Razor. They calmly walked into our camp and right over to these teeny-boppers in a red Rhino that came by to visit with our niece, thankfully NOT camping with us! They spoke directly to the girls, never shouting or cursing, then turned to leave. They explained to us that the girls had blew through their camp doin' about 40 and that the driver attempted to turn one direction while looking in the opposite direction. They explained to them the danger in their behavior and hoped that they would learn from this. Come to find out, they were from ynot's camp! to those 2 guys for taking matters into their own hands and doing it in such an adult and mature manner!!

Craig, you need to change your title.....can't consider you an a-hole when you speak (type) so intelligently!! Always sad to hear of such a tragic accident, but maybe it can be a learning experience also. We were out at Comp Friday night watching a rail fly up the hill, squeeze between quads, then cut across the hill with absolutely NO regard to any riders in his path. It was scary to watch and thank Heaven no one got hurt!! Luckily, he left the hill after about ½ an hour or so. Hoping only the best and a full recovery for Charlie and his family!! :praying:

Awesome weekend!! Pulled into Dumont 6-ish Thurs. evening and it was already gettin' crowded, even out in our neck-o-the sand! Wish it would have been on the cooler side and we NEEDED some more wind, but other than that, our crew had no crashes or breakage and that's always a GOOD thing!! Didn't roll in 'til about 6:30 tonight, just HAD to get another run in before headin' home and it took an hour in Tecopa to dump. Not that it was that crowded, only 5 rigs in front of us, but some dweeb pullin' a Fury musta thought it was a carwash 'cause he was sure takin' his time about it!! Unloaded and laundry started and I am TOO tired to do much more. Dammit, I gotta work tomorrow but Davey gets to stay home and powerwash the toys and hauler!! Nighty night DDR

We definately have to get together for more than just the meet-n-greet!!

Fancy runnin' into you today!! Yup, cha-ching, we are in!! Leaving Thursday after school, so we should be there before dark, hopefully. Most everything is ready to load up. (Gonna work on that tomorrow, had to head to my sister's for the football game this evening! Jason did it again!!) One of the 250's is still in pieces, toasted the piston kick-off weekend. Keith should have the parts back in time for Davey to get it put back together. Still have the 90 as back up if need be. Gettin' anxious!!

That's a COOL idea Jill!! I've brought candy out with us every year, but have had only one small group of trick-or-treaters in all that time.....but like Brandon said, "kids probably wont come out 2 r camp anyways we're waaaayyyy in the back". , that would be our camp, too. Looks like we'll be doing some trick AND treating ourselves!

The ride out there is half the fun!!! We do our drag racin' out on that road since too many people camp indagully and we can't race down there anymore. Every trip we head out to the little dunes at least once to rip it up. Kick-off weekend was AWESOME over there...I made a point of layin' down tracks everywhere I could on that virgin sand!! We'll keep an eye out for that rig, do believe I saw it opening weekend?!?

I am DONE and ready to rock-n-roll first thing in the morning!! Brownies baking as I type, and the rest is up to the hubby.....you know, the fun stuff, load and tie down the toys! :dance: Duh, water and fuel, too the wind, no stoppin' us now! We'll be seeing ya out at the dunes Stop by and say "HI" if you're in the neighborhood.

DITTO on that one! DAMN!! I was SOOOO looking forward to giving you guys the grand tour!! Besides, we've partied together but never went out riding together. Truly sorry your plans fell thru. Next trip hopefully!

Make that 4!! Davey said, "All I want for my birthday is this weekend" (his was the 28th) and the family also concurs! :angry2:

Originally Friday was supposed to be the windy day, but as of last night, as per weather.com (Shoshone), the wind hits Thursday and will cool it off to the high 70's daytime, mid 50's nightime Friday and Saturday!! Looking forward to it BIG time!

Friday is NO school, that's why me and Davey took the day off so we can roll out early Friday morning!! I'm jaazzzzzzed, got the trailer ready this past weekend, just need to finish the grocery shopping so I can load the fridge, and the doggy dishes!! We'll head home sometime Sunday afternoon, or until we run outta fuel, whichever comes first. South Pole meet and greet is when?!? Can't wait to see the "old" faces and meet some of the new! We'll be sporting our "Official DDR" gear, make sure to say "HI!!"

I'll jump on this bandwagon: "to" should be too, as in more than enough. :porn: Looks like a FUN trip, mud and all!!

I wouldn't put that wager on us! We bring our Lab with us every trip AND clean up after her. Hubby takes her out every a.m. with shovel in hand and the kids have poop duty the rest of the day. Those in our group that bring their dogs also clean up after them. I do not want our quads rollin' thru it or anyone tracking it into the hauler, that's just plain GROSS!!

Not to worry Danielle....remember you'll be camping with us and we'll show y'all the way around and back again!! We will not be there either.
