  1. I must have lost my mind for a moment there! <he certainly has> I'll deliver it to him complete with a smack upside the head!
  2. I was planning on doing the same. Post up on the bulletin board at work, leave a bunch with some of our vendors (Trailer Tech, Sun Valley Bumper, Custom Truck to name a few. Oh, and Fairway Chevy, got a bunch of duners working there). Sam's Cycle was REALLY cool about the flyers for Clean-up weekend. RideNow.....Cycle Gear..... I can keep going!!
  3. YEPPERS!! Will cover the holiday weekends too! Discount good 'til the end of September.
  4. And don't forget the improvements they are making on that hill climb going in too!! Gonna make it easier for most folks to maneuver the climb/curve and avoid getting stuck......talk about a traffic jam when that happens!! Looking forward to that change BIG time Awesome Pete!! Much better than the original "sketch" Just like the that can't read the signs 'LEFT LANE ENDS 2 MILES'... 'LEFT LANE ENDS 1 MILE'....yet they still move over to the LEFT lane to pass somebody only to cram back into the path of those on the right because the LEFT LANE ended!! The ability to read is obviously NOT a prerequisite to getting a driver's license! So I understand your point completely, but with any luck that will become a non-issue!! Those of us with our pass proudly displayed from the review mirror should drive thru the express lane with minimal delay!
  5. I keep seeing $4.09 at the Rebel stations around town. $4.07 at one of 'em, can't remember which one tho, I drive TOO much during the day.
  6. Welcome a-board.....and BTW, I like your avatar!
  7. Hint hint: 8 passenger Burb.... friendly....and you are planning to hit up Slash X after the meeting, right?!? We'll slow down on our way back thru and letcha hop out in Hendertucky! P.S. That hint goes out to Skyz too!
  8. Jackie is gonna be here by 6:00 so we can take off by 6:15.....need some extra time to get to the coffee shop (decision made, gonna get a "tasty pastry" for the road). You are welcome to meet here too if you want. We are on your way to da south end. PM me for directions if you're gonna tag along wif us Thanks Pete!! Did the mapquest thingy. Davey has a plan See ya bright and early in da morning
  9. Remind me of where Terry's coffee shop is.....we're still debating on whether to stop by on our way out. Gotta head south from up in this neck of the cactus anywho. Smurf is riding with us in my Burb, so we have room too (smoker friendly )
  10. No break for bulk, huh?!? BUMMER
  11. Try Larry's Meats, he's at Valley View and Alta. Not sure 'bout his pricing, but they put on one helluva BBQ up in Brianhead every year for the Thunder on the Mountain run. The steaks were exceptional this summer!
  12. Figured as much.....anything to make it easier for 'em!!
  13. Looks like we'll be buying our season pass at the TRT meeting Saturday!! Do they take bank cards or should I plan on bringing the cash?? "Holiday and non-holiday passes are different colors this year." Now there's an ! No more confusion, "Do we punch out that little spot on the pass or not?"
  14. Me, housework to catch up on tomorrow while Davey gets the backyard lookin' good for Sunday. We're having our daughter's 15th bday party Sunday afternoon, then shifting gears to a labor day family gathering for BBQ and I'm sure there'll be plenty of :peeps: going on. Most likely will have a house full of teenagers Sunday night, so I'll need Monday to recover.
  15. And the fact that no large jets, ie: 747's, DC10's, etc., take off from the NLV airport, is a bit of a relief. Those could take out whole neighborhoods, not just a house or two. I actually knew the lady who's home was hit by a plane in '99, way closer to my house than this last one and just a couple blocks from my kids' elementary school. Just off Cheyenne on Sisk. The couple in the plane were killed, but she and her grand and great grandchildren were not hurt.
  16. Do you all include burpin' and fartin' around the campfire?? If so, you all will get along great with the "dudes" in our camp!! We'll have to make a point of gettin' together at some time that weekend. Your camp OR ours?!? Veeeerrrryyy in ter est ing indeed!! :peeps:
  17. He was trying to get to the airport to make an emergency landing. Didn't happen. The N. Las Vegas fire dept was already en route to the airport, hence them being on scene along with the many City fire trucks that were there also. You guys were LUCKY!! I was pointed in that direction bringing the kids home from school. Didn't see a thing. We must have got inside just before impact. Didn't hear the sirens either. Davey sent me a text at 3:15 to turn on the news. I new exactly where it had hit from the aerial shots. Last night on the way home from my sister's at 11:30, Nevada Power was working to get new poles up and power back on to some 900 customers. A fleet of Cox Comm. trucks were there too getting their cable lines up and running.
  18. Interesting, the "main" house was a foreclosure and early info said no one was in the house. However, my almost daughter-in-law told me today that someone had bought it and was supposed to move in this weekend. She also drove by there today about 11:30 a.m. and the coroner was on scene. I can't imagine they would have left the body there overnight. I had to drive through there today to her house and 2 fire trucks were back on scene, cops for security <I suppose>, and EVERY local station had a news crew out there parked in the "cul-de-sac" across from the homes. Investigating?!? Recovery?? But I do know it sure made my heart sink driving thru that area. It's pretty much smack dab in the middle between our house and where my sister lives. Looks like a war zone over there.
  19. You not workin' Friday either Cheese?!? Cool Are you bringing out the wifey and String?? Sure would be interesting to meet your better half and mini you!
  20. Been there, still do that!! Makes ya just wanna pick 'em up and throw 'em in the trash, huh?!? I used to threaten to do just that with Justin's, but instead I'd stash them until he'd put the rest away in the proper storage bin(s)!
  21. Okaaaaaayy, Costco crisis over?!? Well, it's official, we're in for kick-off!! It just so happens the kids have Friday the 3rd off (I already told my boss I'm not gonna be there Friday) because of a teacher in service day, so we are gonna head out Thursday after school and head home some time Sunday afternoon.
  22. Randy, Spyro has grown a lot!! Looks like the party was a blast! Whitney. darlin', a few more years and you'll be as old as me! :foshizz:
  23. My Justin was quite the Lego whiz kid, too!! I didn't even try to sell them at our garage sale....too much $$$ invested to get nickeled and dimed to death by cheap-a$$ people. SO, the girls played with them and now little David has full ownership of thousands of little Lego blocks. He'll create for hours on end.
