  1. Understandable!! Sounds like that dude made the WRONG career choice!
  2. I don't care who you are, that there is some funny chit!! :moon:
  3. Kudos for you for following through!! Also glad you let them know about the flight attendant. Too many people focus on the negative stuff and forget to acknowledge the good things people do!!
  4. LOL, if I had seen it coming, maybe I would have!! If it makes you feel any better, she bounced off my Burb and into a 3rd vehicle. That dude didn't stick around for the cops, "had to go home to eat and take his medication"! :moon: Well, I called her insurance, the guy recorded my statement, and then proceeds to tell me it probably won't be until next week that the adjuster will call me. They have 30 days to get the ball rolling on my repairs!! OR, as per my agent, I can have MY insurance handle the claim, pay the $500 deductable out of MY pocket and let MY insurance go after hers and THEN get reimbursed MY $$$. HELL NO!! My agent says "unless it's Allstate, it probably won't take that long" and if I don't hear from them by Wednesday to call him back. Now to play the waiting game.
  5. Yep, gotta make that call this morning. Never done this before so I had to ask the cop how to go about it. We'll see how long this is going to take to get it fixed and lookin' purdy again.
  6. I didn't have a recent one worthy of this thread til today. About 5:45 this evening, I'm heading south on Rainbow to take my daughter and her friend to a meeting. Just passed Lake Mead, this little ol' black Honda Element decides she's entitled to my lane of travel and takes out the passenger side of my Burb!! She's stuck behind a bus at a stop and swears she didn't see me, or the other guy she nicked too. Dumb sh*t, told the cop it wasn't her fault, she was signaling!! He told her doesn't matter, I had the right-of-way. Good news is no one got hurt, just shook me up pretty good, damage isn't major, still drivable, dent under the side-view mirror, totalled my running board and left a gnarly scrape from the back door on! I'm pretty sure it was that poor running board that flattened her front tire. Oh, and HER insurance is gonna pay for it!!
  7. I can SOOOO picture that in my head!! Reminds me of when I chased bottles of vitamin water that rolled out the back of my Burb, down the driveway, and into the street just the other day!! :ah: Holy crap!! Them are some BIIIIGGG fishies!! :black:
  8. Awesome pics there Woody!! Thanks for sharing!
  9. Just like last year, this season will consist of mostly off weekends for us. As soon as we get the school calender, ie: teacher in-service days, school holidays, etc., we plan our trips around that. Always cool to get a jump start on the Californians. Affordability is a HUGE factor, as it is for everyone I'm sure, so every trip will require maximum participation.
  10. Awesome pics there Ken!! Brings back fond memories. Kinda ironic.....Davey and I were just talking about this place the other night. Cold Creek is where I got hooked on riding!! My bro-in-law's wife took me out on a spectacular run and I got bit by the ATV bug!!
  11. Make sure you 'up' your insurance as the value in your house goes up! When we refinanced in 2004, we found out we were WAAAAYYYYY underinsured because the value had more than doubled from 1998 when we first bought it.
  12. Tiff!! Mostly lurking, not much posting!! Missed a lot of good stuff!! (Davey keeps me updated pretty good ) Yeppers, you are cor-rect-o-mundo!! We are like you, homeowner's insurance with one company (best premium), the vehicles with another. When we bought the motorcycle, we were VERY limited on who would insure it (Progressive). Same with the hauler. The quads were just too much $$$ to insure for what we would get for them. So, if my house burns down, the tools/toolbox and motorcycle in the garage is insured, but not the quads. The hauler is fully covered for like $42 a month for the full value we paid for it. Correction, the full MSRP, not what we actually paid!
  13. Yeppers, one less check to cry over every month!! Very convenient to have the mortgage co pay the insurance and taxes. Wouldn't do it any other way. When we were still with Prudential, we received a cancellation notice on our homeowner's policy! I called our agent and he handled the whole problem. Ins company didn't receive the check....mtg co stopped payment....issued new check....problem solved. No $ outta my pocket. Left Prudential down the road anyways. Oh well. Nick, combining all your insurance with one company WILL save you money. Multi-policy discounts apply. We did have an issue, however, because not all companies will insure motorcycles, let alone our toyhauler and/or quads. Pays to shop around! Good luck with your new home, congrats!!
  14. I heard that story too!! <Quite the clever hiding place in my opinion> What goes around, comes around. ALL things happen for a reason!!
  15. That IS classic Brit right there!! Holy crap people!! 498(9) posts about a ONE night ride!! Hard to tell it's summer time. I think the topic should be changed to "Sandaholics meeting @ Dumont Aug 9th" Have fun and be safe out there!!
  16. Right on Woody, sounds cool!! It was a Saturday the last time we were out for the meeting. :peeps: Yeppers, bringing the "wierdo" along for the ride! Always good to see you kids too!!
  17. We'll be there come hell or high water!! :gayboy: Slash X on the schedule for afterwards!?!
  18. Congrats Jodi, GOOD choice there! The only way to drive!! :chev_bowtie: Yep, if I was gonna lose the Burb, I'd pick the HHR. Davey wants to put me in the Malibu, but I like the cargo room.
  19. Hey, did ya notice the eye has healed well!!
  20. That's OK, 'cause I have NO clue which face was yours!! :beer_bang: Really tho, had a GREAT time tonight!! Always a good time when DDR folks get together. Well worth the drive down there. Can't wait to see the pics. Well, I guess I'll have to 'til tomorrow, derrrrrr, later today. Nighty night. :beer_bang:
  21. Ohhh dammit!! Time to quit and get ready to go!! Guess I need to text Davey and remind him what time it is.
  22. Yeppers, we do!! That would be Mike. Hubby worked with him at NDOT until he quit to get back into ordinance disposal for some company. He's super cool <nuts> and last I heard, he had that pinzgauer up for sale.
