  1. I dont get off till 12:30am..you all will be either gone or leaving by the time I could show up or just plain while I am just . You all should come party at my work (fremont street experience) and I will just sit back and :gayboy: . ok ok it was worth the try, just want to meet some fellow vegas duners! :gayboy:
  2. I got some really good info from a few people, so I am checking into different options. At the moment I have a screw being ordered, hopefully that one doesn't cause a problem, but if it does I will know many ways to try to fix it and will go with something other than a standard replacement screw. I am really disappointed with the shop and will be telling them that when I take it in for service. Much appreciation to all of you. Thanks!
  3. I know a bunch of boys who wear 32-34 but no men kidding kidding! :gayboy:
  4. I plan on being there with 2 more people. Hope someone wont mind hauling one of us during the pickup, we only have 2 quads. Thanks.
  5. I wonder what their size requirments would be if they were actually looking for females ..kinda scary to think about..I dont think I know many men at all who wear 32-34, but I like a manly man. I cant wait to see who is going to be posing!
  6. and I hope it will be much appreciated, it is unfortunate that some people need a little motivation to do a nice thing. Thanks in advance to everyone who takes part.
  7. Thanks, thought that info might motivate some people to head out and help out.
  8. Is the entrance fee waived again this year? If so, starting on what day/time?
  9. I by no means want to be someone who , but I want to give my being that I use to work law enforcement. To me it is simple..IF they were on their own time or a break and practicing their skills, which they should do (you would want them to know how to shoot those guns if needed so they should be skilled on those bikes also) then they could have avoided any problem by 2 things 1. Not wearing the uniform 2. Having a flag (fuzzy part in the law or not). When I worked on the police department, if we had our uniform on then we were on duty and expected to act like it. I don't have a problem with them going for a joy ride or practicing their skills, but they need to follow the rules they enforce. We do need to respect them for the job they do, imagine what would happen if there wasn't any enforcement out there and . I always have to appreciate anyone who is willing to give their opinion on a topic such as this that tends to get a little heated at times.
  10. Can we make it a thirsty saturday or sunday? :freakin_nuts: Swing shift sucks!
  11. That would be the ones I didnt have my camera with me, but those were some good ones.
  12. That truck was there early Sunday, so I think it might have been left from Saturday night. I stopped to look at that one and wondered how they managed to mess it up that bad. The front tires were both turned in towards each other, so something was broken and it was dug in almost to the frame in the back. Was a nice looking truck though haha. I also came across one stuck back on the dunes near the trail between the north and south pole, not much truck traffic out that way for someone to be kind enough to stop and help, but I guess they found a way. I think it is just stupidity to dune those types of vehicles.
  13. Hahaha Those of you who saw them out there racing saw my first time up Comp! I took off from right next to them sometime before the one crashed. I laughed when I pulled up next to them at the line, I thought they must have been practicing for that night.
  14. Headed out late Friday due to issues with the drain screw on my carburetor (got that fixed today). Got my car stuck twice trying to find a place to camp in the dark, I guess Hyundai Accents don't off road very well so we camped where I was stuck which ended up being a nice spot near the rockpile and rr11. Saturday we went looking for the south pole and found the north pole , went out again later to the north pole and followed some people to the south pole. Got to the south pole about the time everyone was meeting for the ride, but had to leave before I could meet many people or join in for the ride, due to an anti-social sister which I am still pissed about. Later I rode Banshee Hill to practice for Comp Hill and learned that I am usually the slowest up the hill, but I learned to ride as fast as my stock bike will go . Went to Comp Hill on Saturday night, but just watched for a little while . Sunday I went back to Banshee Hill and practiced going as fast as fast can go on my bike haha sucks watching everyone pass you, but I traded bikes and won a race or 2. Then I headed over to Comp Hill and I rode Comp for my first time and had a blast . I went back to Comp later Sunday afternoon and got stuck about 1/4th the way up (who saw me?? ). We rode up farther off to the right side and I guess the sand is a bit softer over there and my bike just doesn't have the power to get up it, nothing like being new to Comp and riding up the hill all excited, full throttle, loving it and then to feel your tires start spinning and the bike start to shudder and not knowing what the heck is happening, then stalling out and being dug in . Thanks to the guy who came over and pulled my bike out and turned it around for me! So I went back to the middle area and rode it a few more times, so I have begun to master Comp Hill and soon enough I will be racing to be the slowest up the hill . I rode up to the bowl and have to say that is quite the view. All weekend I tried to convince my fellow camp mates to stop by the DDR camp with no success (they wont let me ride alone and would have been pissed if I just took off) :no_no:! So other than having anti-social fellow campers , I had a great weekend.
  15. I got the problem solved, I am going to check out that site for future reference. None of the shops in town had replacement parts for a 2007, so one ordered the screw from the factory. Thanks for the info.
  16. Thanks guys, we got some vice grip pliers and got the screw out. I ordered a new screw from a local shop for $2 . I asked them about an allen head screw, but they said they didn't have any for that bike. I just can't believe that the shop I bought it from tried giving us such a hard time about it and the other shop worked on it for free (don't think I should mention the names, cause I don't want to piss anyone off). The gas ran into the air box, so I am in the process of cleaning and oiling the air filter, but other than that we have fixed it all. Much appreciation.
  17. Just got my new bike back from Dumont and I have a problem, the head of the screw to drain the carburetor is stripped and I cant get the screw out, so I cant drain the carburetor. We had to haul the bike standing and I dont know if that is now going to cause a problem The shop wanted about $80 to get the screw out, but then they said they dont have a replacement . So any suggestions on getting that screw out without removing the entire carburetor and where can I get a replacement? (it is on a 2007 Suzuki z400 if that matters) Much thanks and appreciation.
  18. Looking forward to meeting you!
  19. Thanks! I admit it can be embarrassing when everyone has such nice toys and we have the little tent, but I am new to the scene and am just happy to be a part of it! Any single men with nice toys to share around here?
