  1. I only saw one holding down the canopy when I got back. Someone said before you left you came over and grabbed one or two that we were using. I'll have Newly check his truck again.
  2. Great meeting you and duning with ya, fastony! Yeah, time to step that sandcar up so you can live up to your name! LOL What a great day. Looking forward to another trip.
  3. Sweet. I haven't even started on the video yet but that would be great. I think I have one of your straps too.
  4. Glad you made it out, Randy! Here's a few GoPro screengrabs. Aaron pulling a wheelie on a dune run Much respect for Mike and Aaron who did a damn fine job of avoiding my roost all morning, but watching the GoPro footage clearly shows it's impossible to avoid getting blasted or wearing that haze of sand that gets sh*t out from my paddles. LOL I am super pumped how my car is running since I did the motor work earlier this year. It never once got over 180 degrees and it ran like a sumbitch all day long. This shot is me pulling away from Newly and Chad (to the right of the frame). Looking forward to the season! We have liftoff! Virgin sand!
  5. My buddy Chris got a severe case of motion sickness...fast! So fast he lost all of his breakfast before being able to get out of my car.
  6. Here's some pics. There's a few more here, http://www.actionshutter.net/SandSports-1/Dumont-summer-morning-82414/
  7. trip report is over here, http://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/index.php?showtopic=19579
  8. What a great turnout! We had 5 buggies, 2 RZRs, and 4 quads. We got there just before sunrise, got unloaded and we were off. Holy crap. Those dunes are always sketchy in the summertime, but this time was different. Maybe it's just because I wasn't on a quad, but the dunes seemed like they shifted alot. Our normal lines were all weird. It was extremely difficult to navigate but I did my best. The weather was awesome. I think it was in the low 80's or so when we got there and we were able to dune until about noon. It was mid/upper 90's by then. I bet we could have dunes all day, but we got plenty in and were done. Newly and Chad both did great with their new cars and enjoyed the crap out of them. This season is gonna rock. ynot's grandson, Garret, had a nice little dismount crash on one of our last runs. He was very lucky to walk away. Other than that, no other accidents to report and no major breakdowns! Great meeting @@fastony, What a great guy. Very fun to talk to and dune with. We had some great times today. Looking forward to meeting up again. My buddy Chris rode passenger in my car and started to feel a little motion sickness going on. Well, as we crested the very last dune to head to camp all of his breakfast came up...ALL of it. LOL It was alot. Pics to come. Oh man, I can't stop laughing about that still. I love trips like this. What a great day in the sand with some awesome people. It was sad not having sanddunesaddict with us, but I felt like he was there with me on every ride. Many pics and video to come... Here's a quickie pic of Newly breaking in his new rail. That didn't take long!
  9. Since Newly forgot to post the pic....we're ready to roll!
  10. Yep, I have mine I am bringing if we need it.
  11. Just pull up to wherever you see a group. It will most likely be us. I'm sure nobody else will be out there. Look for Newly's big Kodiak with a 30 ft flatbed. We usually park over to the left where it's hard packed in the summer. My buggy is in my signature.
  12. Definitely camp at Sand Mtn. The holidays aren't very crazy. The camp area gets a tad full, but like Jakster said once you get back away from the hill, the dunes are all yours! It's like those UT people don't know they're back there. lol
  13. My 10 x 20 isn't very hard to put up. It's just heavy and takes an extra person or 2. It pops up nice and easy just like the 10 x 10's.
  14. It's almost looking like we might able to dune all day!
  15. It'll be fine on Sunday. Ya can't always trust the weather report. Saturday is out for us anyways.
  16. haha nice! MFMB I have my giant 10x20 I can bring if Newly has room for it.
  17. Such a badass little buggy! Good luck with the sale, Rick.
  18. Last Aaron posted he was a maybe. I'll hit him up today. I agree, it would be great if they both made it out.
  19. Sorry to hear that, Vic! I hope your health improves. Summertime can be very soft out there, but I think you can still have some fun. Steve is more knowledgeable on that subject than me. Take his advice. I hope to see you Sunday, bud. Why the hell would you even say that!? lol And Raptor broken down? Those words don't even go together. C'mon Chad. Get yer sh*t together.
  20. Sunday it is. New topic started so there is no confusion and we can discuss any details over there. http://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/index.php?showtopic=19571
  21. As discussed over here, nwtdiesel, myself, ynot, raspadoo, 702sandman, my buddy Chad (with his new to him Tatum), and possibly a few others are heading to D this SUNDAY for an early morning run. The plan: Meet at Dumont approx 5:30 AM and get as much duning in as possible before it gets hot. Sunrise is about 6am. The weather is looking pretty good. The high for the entire day is only about 100 so we might be able to go until late morning. Bring sure to bring a chair, an EZ up, plenty of sunscreen, water, some lunch and some cold ones for afterwards. If anyone else is in, post up and we'll meet up. We'll be mostly buggies and RZRs, but everyone is welcome to come out. Looking forward to it.
