I agree. LVMS is too big for spectators to enjoy the racing.

Anna and I stopped in for a couple hours Thurs and Fri night to check out the show/ auction. Alot of the same stuff but a few really awesome rides. It was cool too finally see the '14 Vette. We still haven't gotten one in at the dealership so it was cool to see. I can't believe that 74 Super Duty Firebird brought in 100K. Then the full on custom drag car only went for 26K. Sorry Terry, we never got a chance to stop by. Just too much going on this weekend between Barrett Jackson, having to work Saturday plus a friend's wedding. There was just no time for me to check out the show this year. That's funny how people ask if you are really able to drive the car. Really? Nah, you just spent thousands to look funny on water street. haha I get that all the time though when non-duners see my car. WHOA, check THOSE tires out.

For me it's looking like I might be going out for an early shakedown run Thurs night, Oct 17 through Saturday morning/ afternoon on the 19th. Gotta be back in time for Supercross that night. I have a few things that I have to make sure are good to go for the season on the buggy and an early trip looks like it's in order. Any other buggy guys wanna join me? After that, hoping to get out Nov 1-3 weekend.

Ha! Yeah true, but they're already advertising the 2014 raffle buggy. Maybe side x side owners will by raffle tickets in hopes to win it, sell it and buy a tricked out hay hauler.

They clog up at the fuel inlet where the altitude adjustment needle is. The mixture control solenoid sometimes requires a good spraying of carb cleaner and a whack on the bench. They don't sell rebuilds kits for these, but there really aren't any parts inside a little carb like this. Just pull the float bowl off and clean it out. I bought one of these carbs once (for a 5500). I believe it was about $180 new through Camping World.

Was there a raffle buggy this year or was it just the farm equipment giveaway?

It really is just a matter of preference. They both do what they do well. I still to this day don't understand why people think Raptors are tippy. I feel a Raptor is way more stable especially at speed than a little 450 but that's just me.
