Well most of us are close friends, but there are more people on DDR that I don't know than the number of people I DO know . This site for anyone that is into Dumont- not just a certain group of friends. Sometimes it seems people get that confused. For some reason our group, meaning the peeps I camp with, have been referred to as "DDR" or the "DDR camp". Maybe that's because we are the most active on the site, who knows. The tight-knit group that I used to camp with has slowly dimished over the past few years because they don't come out as much or anymore at all. On a more positive note, I have met a bunch of friends that enjoy doing the same things I do and I think that is great. The more you get talking w/ everyone on here posting back and forth with each other, the more you get to know people. Either way, if you enjoy Dumont, ride the dunes there, and are signed up here on DDR- then that makes you an official DDR member. There....feel better? I hope so because if you were looking for a hug or something you can forget about it. :dance: :dance: Welcome to the site!

Do you mean "how did you become a member of DDR-like how did you find the site?" , or "how did you get into riding Dumont"?

I don't plan on any loud music or crazyness this trip. Just some nice chill times with good friends. We'll park on the HARD pack so you don't bury your M/H again. I'd say let's meet at the ranger station area at 10 AM. That sounds good to me. Your camp might be kinda hard to find for some peeps considering they don't know exactly where you'll be or what truck/ trailer you have. Know wud I mean?

WOW, excellent advice Dave! The bolt pattern should be the same. They use the same drivetrain so I don't see why not. I have a Grizzly 660. I can measure the lug pattern if you want. They might be different offset though. :grad:

So most of you may already know this as it is a no-brainer, but some might not be aware. If you run the factory headlights on your quad and dune your bike (rather than being a camp cruiser like some ), chances are your headlights will get dull as hell over time. It's pretty easy to do and only takes about 10-15 minutes to get them looking way better. You can polish the lenses using plastic lense polish. I used Maguiare's PastX Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish. (about 7 bucks). What a difference!

From what I understand, Larry (ShortSandCars) made that wagon. Why do you figure there is a big "DDR Camp"? Me and a few of my buddies are going out and camping together. I don't if that's what you consider a big ddr camp, but whatever. We'll be somehwre around bathroom 6 in case anyone stops by to say hi. That would be great if you make it out. We'll be somewhere around bathroom 6, probably in the spot from the cleanup last year. Either way, you can't miss us.
