  1. I couldn't say. I haven't really seen any King Sand Cars go. :shocked2: I would go Tom Pro out of those two, however, if you end up buying one new from TP he has quite a waiting list right now from what I have heard.
  2. Well we take the finger dune to get to camp on the way back from the dunes. I don't see a problem with that. It is a dune and I don't see why people can't ride along the top of it as long as it's done safely. IMO, small children shouldn't be standing, sitting, or playing on it when people use it. You aren't gonna stop people from riding on it, so why would you let your kids near it? When we did and were roosted on purpose while riding the finger, we were only putting along the top very slowly. And BTW, it's 15mph near any camp, not 25. I saw very few people abiding by it this last weekend, nor did I see any Rangers enforcing it. :fro: :shocked2:

    VW Turbo

    :shocked2: dayum take a breath, Nick!
  4. Dave Larson towed back that yellow buggy, Nick. They have almost the same car. :shocked2: Here is Dave's rail...
  5. Yep, what ISBB said ^^ Actually Tom Pro cars probably aren't the fasted. I just like the quailty more HD construction of his cars. Short Cars are one of the lightest, probably making them one of the fastest cars. It all depends on tire size, gearing, turbo, motor work etc though like ISBB said.
  6. No it wasn't. I t was just last month. ----> Sep 20 2006, 02:27 PM
  7. I don't think I'll be able to make this trip.

  9. Didn't you already post this in another thread?
  10. Exactly^^ I will never stop doing what I love because accidents out there. The majority of the time when accidents or fatalities occur out at Dumont is people misjudge the dunes. Rarely do people ever collide and get killed at Dumont. For the most part, everyone is safe on the big weekends as far as cresting dunes, etc. It sounds ALOT more dangerous than it really is when you hear about all the bad stuff. Yes it is a dangerous sport, but so is something as simple as driving to work. You gotta still live life. If I died out there doing what I loved, the last thing I would want is someone to stop doing what they loved because of me.
  11. I WAS gonna do that when I was towing Joe Duner back from the nroth pole as well, but I only made one pass close to everyone at the back of the pack of people. I just couldn't do it! We got some laughs as it was already anyhow.
  12. It was great having you, Mike. Good times were had! I'm looking forward to many more trips to hang out and go on some rides with you and everyone else. And I agree, there was ALOT of breakage this weekend. We helped alot of people in the dunes and alot of people helped us.
  13. exactly. It was a very bad crash and not many other cars, if any, would have been able to protect them in that situation. I don't think everyone understands the severity of this accident. I am suprised the car held up as good as it did.
  14. Thanks for sharing some info about them, Chae. It is very sad to see such a tragic thing happen to such good people. They will not be forgotten. I wish the best to you, your family, and friends through this tough time. Hang in there.
  15. That was some funny chit! I might not be able to make Vet's day, we'll have to see. Those that are going, go ahead and start a thread for one.
  16. Tim it was cool to meet you. It was a fun ride with you guys that day despite my hangover.
  17. Actually the more up and down shocks are mounted, the better. But I hear what you are saying. I personally still like the 5 link rear end like on my car instead of the a-arms SST uses. TomPro and King might be close, but I'd say TomPro makes the best mini rail out there. He knows his sh*t and I've seen his cars go. They are badass. King makes a nice car too though.
  18. yep... http://tomprodesign.com/ This car has been out the last few trips at comp. It is pretty fast.
  19. Yeah his friends on the scene told me leg was pretty nasty. It was turned around the wrong way he said.
  20. Hell yeah...I did the same! I'll have to do that! That was awesome! Thanks, Michelle!
