Ok, heres what I picked up today to add to the Carne Asada masacre on Saturday! I have... -1 large bag of shredded cheese -1 large tub of sour cream -16 oz guacamole -1 normal size bottle of red taco sauce -2 med sized bags of shredded lettuce -50 burritos size tortillas -some disposable tupperware tubs for meat, cheese, etc -48 plastic spoons and forks It's hard to judge how many people are gonna be grubbin, so lets just plan on alot. If anyone thinks we need more of what I bought, please feel free to add to it. We could probably use: -some more shredded cheese, maybe just another big bag -more taco/ hot sauce -more shredded lettuce if anyone thinks 2 isn't enough -some paper plates (I have a bunch but am not sure if it is quite enough) -any more burrito ingredients such as refried beans, salsa, green sauce, etc.

No Kenny...there isn't gonna be any :shoot: there. You said 50cent!

No, but he does know where to find the SOFTEST FREAKIN SAND at Dumont though! Thanks Paul! If I had a smaller trailer like him I woulda been fine. 10,000lb anchor doesn't help in friggin blow sand.

yeah, so does PAULYPAUL!!! :no_no: :shocked2:

It kinda depends on your personal preference. You you like to be out in the boonies? or like to be up close to the dunes. It is very flat and open. Just pull in and choose a spot you feel at home. Some spots are more soft than others- like some areas near the finger dunes on the right side of the main road. You'll be okay though as long as you stay a 100 feet or so back from the dunes. When are you going out, barneycar?

As I understand, trash bags will be supplied.

Yeah Rich, ynot told me they are gonna be out there this weekend. They are kinda helping out w/ the event as they are letting FoDD use their big canopy/ awning on the SU tractor trailer. They should be kinda close to where we are gonna be camped. Hmmm, demo rides... yes!

Ok it has been a while since the original thread was started about the DDR dune trip & cleanup...sooo...some people have flaked ( to those people) and some new people have decided to come out with everybody as well ( to those people). I'd just like to get an idea of whose coming out w/ all of us so we know how big of a camp circle to get started when everyone starts showing up. If you are going out to Dumont but not camping w/ the rest of DDR, then post that up too. We'd like to know. untilA bunch of DDR peeps are cruising down to Havasu to party it up. We are staying at the Crazy Horse Campground Friday & Saturday night. We have 4 camp spots along the water...just look for the party and come by. Get in touch under "Wet Spots" if your interested in meeting up w/ the rest of us.

I believe the front sprocket is stock and the rear is a 64 tooth. I haven't weighed my car, but I have been told it weighs about 750 lbs. Yeah I haven't had any complaints with mine. It's the foam flter w/ an outerwear. (no airbox) It has a little lean pop on throttle snap before it warms up, but i'ts just fine once it is warm. I have been told the power commander eliminates this, but I can live w/ it.

Yeah Don filled me in. Gotcha

Right on, good ideas Yoshi. My car right now is geared pretty low and the trans held up for over 2 years of pretty hard driving. Scott @ Heads Up here in town is putting in some decent gears that have been shot piened and have also been back-cut or "undercut". He swears by them and really knows his sh*t as he builds drag bikes and Busas for many mini-rails now. Hopefully it holds up well. I guess we'll see though. I am going in about an hour actually to look at a wrecked 01 Busa that I might be able to pickup for around $500 or so. I think it's some pretty cheap insurance. Hopefully I can snatch it up for a spare motor/trans. I'm crossing my fingers....wish me luck.

Who's Blown Thier Bike/quad/sandrail Up At Dumont?
dunefreak replied to trqjnky's topic in General Chat
I have been through about 2 or 3 top ends on my YZ250 out there. I finally got it dialed in enough to where the jetting makes it reliable enough to not melt/ break pistons. I have also siezed 4th gear to a main shaft out there too. THat was a fun time gettin it back to camp., PaulyPaul & I threw the bike on the back of my Grizzly and rode doubles WITH the bike back to camp past rangers and all. People were running from their camps screaming to their friends- hey come look at this sh*t!! It was a memorable experience to say the least! Grizzly 660 -
Not sure, but I would imagine so.
