Right on, good ideas Yoshi. My car right now is geared pretty low and the trans held up for over 2 years of pretty hard driving. Scott @ Heads Up here in town is putting in some decent gears that have been shot piened and have also been back-cut or "undercut". He swears by them and really knows his sh*t as he builds drag bikes and Busas for many mini-rails now. Hopefully it holds up well. I guess we'll see though. I am going in about an hour actually to look at a wrecked 01 Busa that I might be able to pickup for around $500 or so. I think it's some pretty cheap insurance. Hopefully I can snatch it up for a spare motor/trans. I'm crossing my fingers....wish me luck.

I have been through about 2 or 3 top ends on my YZ250 out there. I finally got it dialed in enough to where the jetting makes it reliable enough to not melt/ break pistons. I have also siezed 4th gear to a main shaft out there too. THat was a fun time gettin it back to camp., PaulyPaul & I threw the bike on the back of my Grizzly and rode doubles WITH the bike back to camp past rangers and all. People were running from their camps screaming to their friends- hey come look at this sh*t!! It was a memorable experience to say the least! Grizzly 660

ok, cool Pot luck- late in the afternoon/early evening Saturday/ bring whatever you can, we'll have Carne Asada, side dishes, and whatever else people want to grill up that they bring. Oh yeah...and beer beer beer! DDR ride- all weekend!!!! :mc_smiley: DDR will be camping together (except for you j/k) so we'll be riding together whenever we wanna go out. We can arrange something for those that want to meet up that aren't camping w/ us though. Maybe the usual time and place on Saturday after the cleanup and before the potluck/ BBQ. We'll see how the day goes I guess.

yeah, hopefully Terry We'll try and get near the FoDD group. When are you headed out there?

I'd say go w/ Bud Light, Steve. I was actually thinking of trying to get some stuff done on Sunday. Budweiser makes it a bit hard the next day.

We should have a spot somewhere just to the right of the main gravel road after the first finger dune but before the 2nd one. It should be pretty hard packed for those of you w/ 2 wheel drives or motorhomes. I will get the DDR.com banner up as soon as I get there on Thurs. night. I will be bringing the big gay balloon, but I am not sure how long the motor will stay working. Last trip the motor took a crap, but I tried it the other day in the garage and it worked! It may stop working when it gets warm, so don't count on the balloon as a definite landmark. Sorry. I'm hoping we get a turnout that weekend. It should be a good time. Even if only some of you can make it out for a day, come on out. We should have a bunch of food and drinks for those that aren't loading up much to go out for only the day. That really sucks, Rich. I'm sure she'll still have a good time though. I'm sure there will be a buggy seat for her. Tell her that's nothin! I was out there Thanksgiving w/ TWO broken arms. Less than a week to go now everybody! Hope you are all getting ready.
