So this weekend Bert (sanddunesaddict) was gonna give Ken (Ken's Colors) and his buddy a ride over to thier camp, but had to go scare them first in his sandrail. Well he did that alright! :shocked2: He was jamming up the big steep face hill and pulled the cutting brake a wee-bit too late and poof right off the top! :mc_smiley: Luckily they more so just tipped it over on it's side. BTW, his car is over 20 years old and we always worried that if it went over- there would be a damn bloody masacre :shoot: , but it held up good considering. No cracks or bent frame at all! He smashed a light, de-beaded both tires, and somehow broke a CV in all that, but most importantly all 3 of them walked away unscathed. Amazing. We got the rail back to camp and Ken was laughing about it alll night. It was pretty funny, well, once we knew everyone was alright. This was his and his friend's first time in a rail too!

Weekend was a blast. Nobody got hurt . Fri night 3rotortrav & DCT came over to party. BTW, thanks again for the firewood guys. Weather was awesome, except for Sunday got windy . A good ol night ride to the north pole around 3:30/ 4 AM was fun. Then I ran outta gas on the way back to camp....derr I guess I should have checked the tank before we went way the hell out there! Then after we got back to camp, we partied till the sun came up and then some. We stayed up till 7AM Sat morning. :shocked2: :mc_smiley: Saturday was a handfull. We went on a bunch of rides including the DDR ride from the south pole to the north pole :headbang: and a few others. We finally found Ken (Ken's Colors) who misunderstood my map and camped at the opposite end of the dunes as us .We helped him & his buddy move their stuff over to our camp . There were a bunch of things that went wrong that day. Sandunesaddict rolled his car (that's a new thread in itself ), JJ (lvnalolife) broke down in his buggy, Ross (justintime) having some fan issues, sandsnake set a new record for shortest trip out in the rail ever - less than a hour and then back on the trailer , and then a 2 Banshees in our camp (sikkbanshee's and JJ's lil bro in-law) took a crap . Besides all that- good weekend regardless. I will get pics up soon... Sunday got too damn windy to do anything, so we just packed up and came home. Lvnalolife broke down on the way home too . Hopefully everything went smoothly w/ recovering the truck & trailer when they had help go get em. I had a blast everone. It was cool meeting some new DDR peeps- dunefaster & aceisback, but didn't get a chance to meet you sincityblondie- I was still sleeping Sat AM :shoot: . Maybe Pres Day weekend. That DDR ride was fun. I can't wait to get back home (Dumont) over pres day.

If anyone in the Vegas area isn't going out to the dunes the weekend of the 11th- I would suggest going to the Hurricane Bar & Grill for a real good show. No- I am gonna wait till after Pres Day to do it. There is a shortage on Busa trans parts in the country right now (on back-order or something)- so I am gonna just skip bringing the car this trip and then be easy on 2nd gear over PresDay so I at least have the car out there that weekend. Then I will get it all handled immediatly after the trip. If I don't get it done real soon, no biggie. I like riding the bikes more once when we head up to Coral.

Yeah no buggy for me either this weekend , I'll have it out Pres Day though . Terry cruise on over Fri night and say hi unless we make it over your way first. Lookin forward to doing lots of riding and partying this weekend. I can't wait to make it back home (Dumont).

yeah bring him out. There will be a few kids in our group. The DDR ride is usually a faster paced ride though. There will be some other rides though if he wants to tag along. :DDR_rocks!:
